A superior electrochemical biosensor was designed for the determination of UO2 2+ in aqueous solution by integration of DNAzyme and DNA-modified gold nanoparticle (DNA-AuNP) network structure. Key features of this method include UO2 2+ inducing the cleavage of the DNAzyme and signal amplification of DNA-AuNP network structure. In this electrochemical method, the DNA-AuNP network structure can be effectively modified on the surface of gold electrode and then employed as an ideal signal amplification unit to generate amplified electrochemical response by inserting a large amount of electrochemically active indicator methylene blue (MB). In the presenceof UO2 2+, the specific sites on DNA-AuNP network structure can be cleaved by UO2 2+, releasing the DNA-AuNP network structure with detectable reduction of electrochemical response intensity. The electrochemical response intensity isrelated to the concentration of UO2 2+. The logarithm of electrochemical response intensity and UO2 2+ concentration showed a wide linear range of 10~100pM, and the detection limit reached 8.1pM (S/N = 3). Burning municipal waste produces a great deal of harmful heavy metals, which may lead to elevated exposure in incinerator workers and residents living nearby. However, relevant human exposure studies remain scarce, especially in China. This study aimed to determine the concentrations of ten heavy metals in urine of incinerator workers (n = 119, as the exposed group) and residents living nearby (n = 215, as the control group) from Shenzhen (China), and explore the associations between heavy metal exposure and DNA oxidative stress (indicated by 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine or 8-OHdG) in humans. The median urinary concentrations of manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), chromium (Cr), arsenic (As), selenium (Se) and 8-OHdG in the exposed group were significantly higher than those in the control group (p < 0.05), suggesting occupational exposure elevated heavy metal intake for the incinerator workers. Nevertheless, there is no correlation statistically significant between the concentrations of any heavy metal and 8-OHdG in urine in the exposed group, indicating heavy metals releasing from waste incineration were not important factors to induce DNA oxidative stress. To our knowledge, this study firstly reported the concentrations of heavy metal in urine and their associations with DNA oxidative damage in waste incinerator workers in Shenzhen, China. Many hazardous substances can be released during incineration of municipal solid waste (MSW), which pose a potential threat to human health. As additives, phthalates (PAEs) and bisphenols (BPs), which are widely used in daily goods, are likely to be present in the released hazardous substances. In the present study, we investigated the urinary levels of phthalate metabolites (mPAEs) and BPs in workers in an MSW incineration plant (the exposed group) and in residents 8 km away (the control group) in Shenzhen, China. The results showed that the median total urinary concentration of mPAEs in workers was significantly higher than that in residents (1.02 × 103 vs. 375 ng/mL). However, there was no significant difference between workers and residents for BPs. Among the mPAEs measured, the most abundant compound was mono-n-butyl phthalate in both exposed and control groups. Monoethyl phthalate and monomethyl phthalate might be potential markers for MSW incineration because of significantly high levels in the exposed group. The workers engaged in different types of workshops showed no significant differences in the urinary levels of mPAEs, also for BPs. It was worth noting that 70.8% of workers were at risk of the non-carcinogenic effects caused by PAEs with diethylhexyl phthalate having the highest risk. Actions should be taken to reduce the risks caused by these hazardous chemicals. © 2020 The Author(s)

In this work, a novel composite hydrogel (PCG) was constructed by mixing amidoxime polyacrylonitrile, chitosan and graphene oxide. The structure characterization of PCG was successfully investigated by FTIR, SEM. The effects of the pH, initial concentration of metal ion and contact time were conducted by a batch of experiments. PCG showed higher adsorption selectivity for U(VI) and its maximum adsorption capacity can reach up 247 mg/g. PCG can be completely separate from the aqueous solution and displayed excellent regeneration ability which would not cause secondary pollution to water bodies. The sorption kinetics of PCG for U(VI) followed pseudo-second order model well and Langmuir model were used to describe the equilibrium data well, which indicated that a monolayer adsorption occurred on PCG and the chemisorption was the main rate-limiting step. This work proved that PCG could be considered as the effective and promising material for removal of U(VI) from aqueous solution. © 2020 Elsevier B.V.

The Nano-PY-MCM-41@Fe3O4 (NPMF), a new kind of nano material, was prepared by the hydrothermal method. In this work, its characteristic and the composite construction were analyzed through such series of means as SEM, TEM, IR, TGA, XRD, VSM, N2 adsorption desorption isotherm curve and so on, the adsorption capacity of NPMF for the low concentration uranium-bearing solutions was investigated through NPMF adsorption for U(VI) experiment and cycle adsorption experiment, the effects of initial pH, adsorption temperature, contact time and other factors on its biosorption of U(VI) were studied. The adsorption isotherm fitted well to Langmuir model and adsorption process followed false secondary dynamics model, so we can draw the conclusion that the adsorption process was mainly composed of single layer chemical adsorption, which is supported by multilayer adsorption and hole diffusion. The van't Hoff equation fitted well to adsorption thermodynamic parameter, indicating that the adsorption is an endothermic process, the adsorption reaction is feasible and spontaneous. In addition, some experiment datas showed that the NPMF has good adsorption properties on low concentration U(Ⅵ), and it has the advantages of quick response realization, high efficiency, being easy to separate from liquid by external magnetic field and good renewable performance and others. © 2018 Elsevier Inc.

The ethylenediamine-modified Aspergillus niger (EMAN) and amidoxime-modified A. niger (AMAN) had been successfully prepared and then characterized by means of FTIR and SEM–EDX. The selective adsorption features of raw A. niger (RAN), EMAN, and AMAN for UO2 2+ over other coexistent heavy metal ions, such as Fe3+, Pb2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, and Co2+ had been investigated in a multi-metal system and a binary system. At the optimum pH which was 5, the orders of selectivity biosorption of EMAN and AMAN in a multi-metal system were UO2 2+ ≫ Fe3+ > Pb2+ > Cu2+ > Zn2+ > Cd2+ > Co2+ and UO2 2+≫ Fe3+ > Cu2+ > Pb2+ > Zn2+ > Co2+ > Cd2+, respectively. In a binary system, Fe3+, Pb2+, and Cu2+ suppressed the biosorption capacity of EMAN and AMAN for U(VI), while there was very slight interference from Zn2+, Co2+, and Cd2+ with the biosorption for U(VI). From the selectivity coefficients in both multi-metal and binary system, EMAN and AMAN prefer to uranyl ion than other metal ions, which were much better than RAN. As expected, the results indicated that the modified A. niger could be the effective and selective biosorbent for uranyl ion. © 2018, Islamic Azad University (IAU).

The 4-sulfonylcalix[6]arene modified Fe3O4 (MFS) was characterized by FT-IR, SEM, VSM, TGA, etc., which showed that its saturation magnetization was 64.99 emug−1 with the particle size 10–40nm. The maximum adsorption efficiency by MFS for 2.5mgL−1 U(VI) solution amounted to 94.39%, which was higher than that by Fe3O4 (65.22%) under its optimum adsorption conditions. The adsorption of MFS and Fe3O4 were both followed the pseudo-second order model and the Langmuir isotherm model. The Gibbs free energy change and enthalpy change revealed that the adsorption of U(VI) by MFS was a spontaneous and endothermic process. © 2017, Akadémiai Kiadó, Budapest, Hungary.

In this paper, cheap liquorice residue was used to prepare activated carbon (AC), thioacetamide (TAA) was used to modify the AC, and the adsorption experiments were conducted in the simulated acid radioactive wastewater with low uranium concentration to study the adsorption behavior and mechanism for uranium by TAA modified AC (TAA–AC). The removal efficiency by TAA–AC was 92.1–98.2% from the 1mgL−1 uranium solution at pH 2–6. The adsorption equilibrium data were well fitted by Dubinin–Radushkevich model, and the maximum adsorption capacity was estimated to be 340mgg−1. TAA–AC showed an enhanced selectivity for uranium in the presence of competitive ions. Furthermore, the adsorption experiments were conducted in the actual acid radioactive wastewater with low uranium concentration from an in situ leach uranium mine. The high adsorption rate (98.3%) and selectivity (Kd = 3.78×104mLg−1) for uranium were observed in the actual acid radioactive wastewater, and the adsorption rate was found to maintain 96.2% over six cycles of adsorption–desorption. © 2018, Akadémiai Kiadó, Budapest, Hungary.

A new type of magnetic bioadsorbent (CDAB) was synthesized by reaction of amidoxime modified calix[6]arene derivative with the Aspergillus niger-Fe3O4 bio-nanocomposite, the bioadsorbent have been well characterized with FT-IR, SEM-EDS, XPS and VSM. The effects of various experimental parameters include pH, contact time, initial uranium(VI) concentration, adsorbent dosage and temperature on the bioadsorption of uranium(VI) were investigated in detail. Adsorption experimental results showed the adsorption process of CDAB was pseudo-second order kinetic model and Langmuir adsorption isotherm model. The maximum adsorption capacities of CDAB were calculated to be 77.04mgg−1 for uranium(VI). The adsorption efficiency of CDAB towards U(VI) could reach at 83.6% with a considerable selectivity. In addition, the thermodynamic parameters indicated that the adsorption process was spontaneous and endothermic. © 2018, Akadémiai Kiadó, Budapest, Hungary.

Amidoxime modified Aspergillus niger (AMAN) was prepared by the oximation reaction. The effects of the initial pH, contact time, initial U(vi) concentration and biosorbent dose on the adsorption of U(vi) ions from radioactive wastewater in U(vi) concentrations of less than 1 mg L<sup>-1</sup>by AMAN and the raw Aspergillus niger (RAN) were investigated. The maximum adsorption efficiency by AMAN for the 0.5 mg L<sup>-1</sup>U(vi) solution amounted to 98.85% under the optimum adsorption conditions, while the maximum adsorption efficiency by RAN was only 77.83%. The adsorption equilibrium data were found to be best fitted to Langmuir isotherm model, and the maximum biosorption capacity of AMAN for U(vi) was estimated to be 621 mg g<sup>-1</sup>at 298 K. The biosorption kinetics followed the pseudo-second order model and intraparticle diffusion equation. The Gibbs free energy change (ΔG°), enthalpy change (ΔH°) and entropy change (ΔS°) showed that the adsorption process of U(vi) was spontaneous, feasible and endothermic. The SEM-EDS study indicated that much more U(vi) ions were adsorbed by AMAN than by RAN. FT-IR study showed that the -NH<inf>2</inf>and =N-OH groups of amidoxime were the dominant ones for binding UO<inf>2</inf><sup>2+</sup>ions. Moreover, AMAN was found to have excellent selective adsorption capability of U(vi) due to amidoxime groups. The UO<inf>2</inf><sup>2+</sup>ions adsorbed by AMAN could be desorbed using 0.1 M HCl, and the desorption efficiency reaching 87.28% at the 8th cycle of adsorption and desorption. ©The Royal Society of Chemistry.

The raw sodium feldspar (RSF) is activated with the concentrated sulfuric acid solution and the acid activated sodium feldspar (AASF) is obtained. The results obtained from the mercury intrusion method show that the acidification can increase the porosity and the specific surface area. The effects of the initial pH, contact time and ambient temperature on the adsorption of U(VI) ions are investigated in a batch process. The adsorption efficiency amounts to the highest at pH 6 and the adsorption equilibrium is reached in 600 min. The pseudo-second-order model is found to be more suitable for the adsorption process than the pseudo-first-order model and intra-particle model, indicating that the chemical adsorption is the predominant step for the adsorption process. Langmuir model is found to describe the adsorption process better than Freundlich model. This proves that the main form of U(VI) ions attached to RSF and AASF is the monolayer coverage. The thermodynamic parameters prove that the adsorption process is a spontaneous endothermic one. It was also found that acid activated treatment can help increase the adsorption rate and capacity. The results show that RSF and AASF can be used as a novel low cost adsorbent for removal of U(VI) ions from the low concentration aqueous solution.

Magnetic carboxymethylcellulose (CMC/Fe3O4) was used as a framework adsorption material to remove uranium ions from aqueous solutions. Carboxyl functional groups were grafted onto the CMC/Fe3O4. The maximum adsorption capacity of the magnetic composite toward U(VI) was 122.48mg/g. Kinetic and thermodynamic parameters of the adsorption process were estimated. The pseudo-second-order model was more suitable and it proved to be an endothermic and spontaneous process. The Langmuir and Freundlich models were applied to evaluate the adsorption isotherm. The data matched well with Langmuir model after equilibrium was reached and with Freundlich model before equilibrium was reached. © 2014 Elsevier B.V.

The thermally activated sodium feldspar (TASF), a novel material, was prepared by calcinating the micron sodium feldspar (SF) at 450 C for 45 min. The TASF and the SF were characterized using X-ray diffraction and mercury injection porosimetry, and the TASF was found to have larger specific surface area and larger porosity than SF. The effects of the initial pH, temperature, contact time and initial U(VI) ions concentration on the adsorption of U(VI) ions from the low concentration uranium solution by TASF were investigated. The maximum adsorption efficiency of TASF for 0.5 mg/L uranium solution amounted to 95.49 % when the initial pH was 5.0, the temperature, 318 K, and and the contact time, 600 min. The relationship between the adsorption capacity q e and equilibrium concentration C e can well be described by Freundlich equation. Adsorption isotherm and the analysis by FT-IR coupled with SEM revealed that U(VI) ions were adsorbed onto the surface of TASF in multimolecular or cluster states, and that the intraparticle diffusion occurred in spontaneous process. The basic thermodynamic parameters including free energy change, entropy change and enthalpy change were calculated to comprehend the intrinsic features and spontaneous nature of the adsorption process. The FT-IR spectroscopic characterization for the TASF indicated that many groups were involved in the adsorption process of U(VI) ions, and the -OH group played a more important role. The experimental results suggested that TASF had great adsorption efficiency and strong potentiality of enrichment and recovery for the low concentration U(VI). © 2013 Akadémiai Kiadó, Budapest, Hungary.

Aims: To provide the basis for further exploring the effect and its mechanism of Death domain associated protein (Daxx) on the progress of cervical carcinoma induced by human papillomavirus (HPV), the distribution and location of Daxx in cervical carcinoma with high risk HPV(HR-HPV) positive was analyzed.Methods: The samples of normal cervical epithelial cells, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade I (CINI), CINII CINIII and cervical cancers were collected. Immunohistochemistry assay was used to analyze the distributions and locations of Daxx in the cervical tissue. Indirect immunoinfluorescence test was utilized to observe the locations of Daxx in Caski cells with HPV16 positive.Results: Under the light microscopy, the brown signals of Daxx distributed in the nuclei of normal cervical epithelial cells; Daxx mainly distributed in nuclear membrane and there were a small amount of Daxx in the nuclei in CINI. Daxx intensively distributed in the cytoplasm and cell membrane in CINII, CINIII and cervical cancer. Under fluorescent microscopy, the distribution and location of Daxx in Caski cells was similarly to that in cervical cells of CINII, CINIII and cervical cancer.Conclusion: In the progress of the cervical cancer, Daxx gradually translocates from nucleus into nuclear membrane, cytoplasm and cell membrane. 摘要:
A novel method for the determination of metallothioneins (MTs) in urine was developed by fluorescence quenching strategy. The response signals linearly correlated with the concentration of MTs in the ranges of 3.12 ×10 <sup>-8</sup>-1.23 ×10<sup>-6</sup> mol L<sup>-1</sup>, and the limit of detection (LOD) was 9.36 ×10<sup>-9</sup> mol L<sup>-1</sup>. The proposed method avoids the label and derivatization steps in common methods, and is reliable, inexpensive and sensitive. Furthermore, the interaction of MTs and 8-hydroxyquinoline-5-sulphonic acid (HQS)-Cd(II) chelate was investigated, and a static quenching mode was proposed to be primarily responsible for the fluorescence quenching event. It could provide a promising potential for the detection of the biomacromolecules which have no native fluorescence, and be benefit to extend the application of fluorescence strategy. ©2013 Elsevier B.V. The aim of the study was to explore the interactions of human papilloma virus 16 (HPV16) E2 protein and Daxx. The localization or co-localization of PML and E2 with Daxx in Caski cells was observed by indirect immunofluorescence. The interaction of E2 and Daxx was analyzed by co-immunoprecipitation, Western-blot and yeast-two hybrid assays. In Caski cells the fluorescence of Daxx and PML was mainly distributed in the cytoplasm or nucleus, respectively, and in the align image their signals did not overlap. However, when the red signal of HPV16 E2 and the green signal of Daxx in the cytoplasm of Caski cells were merged, the yellow signal appeared. The yeast co-transformed with pGBKT7/Daxx and pGADT7/E2 or pGADT7/E2 TAD can grow on SD/-Trp-Leu-His and SD/-Trp-Leu-His-Ade plates. So Daxx is not colocated with PML but with HPV16 E2 mainly in the cytoplasm of Caski cells. On the base of the results one can propose that HPV16 E2, in particularly its transcription-activity domain (TAD), interacts with Daxx. © 2014 Pleiades Publishing, Inc.

In order to develop an effective and economical method for removing U(VI) from the low concentration radioactive wastewater with the U(VI) concentration of less than 1 mg L<sup>-1</sup>, the biomass of Aspergillus niger was prepared and modified with ethylenediamine, and the biosorption of uranium from the low concentration radioactive wastewater by the unmodified and the modified biomasses was investigated in a batch system. The modified biomass exhibited the adsorption efficiency of 99.25 % for uranium under the optimum conditions that pH was 5.0, the contact time was 150 min, and the biosorbent dose was 0.2 g L<sup>-1</sup>. The adsorption fitted well to Langmuir isotherm, and the maximum sorption capacity of the modified biomass for U(VI) was determined to be 6.789 mg g<sup>-1</sup> which increased by 36.45 % compared with the unmodified biomass. The adsorption kinetics was better depicted by pseudo-second-order kinetic model. The Gibbs free energy change (ΔG <sup>0</sup>), enthalpy change (ΔH <sup>0</sup>), and entropy change (ΔS <sup>0</sup>) showed that the process of U(VI) adsorption was spontaneous, endothermic, and feasible. The changes in the groups, morphology, and the presence of U(VI) on the surface of the adsorbents which were characterized by FT-IR, SEM, and EDS, demonstrated that the U(VI) was successfully adsorbed onto the modified biomass. Moreover, the UO<inf>2</inf> <sup>2+</sup> absorbed on the modified biomass can be released by 0.1 mol L<sup>-1</sup> HNO<inf>3</inf> with high desorption efficiency of 99.21 %. The results show that the modified biomass can remove U(VI) from low concentration radioactive wastewater more effectively than the unmodified biomass.

Objective: To investigate awareness and knowledge of human papillomavirus (HPV) infection among high school students and to provide a basis for health education on HPV infection for high school students in China. Study design: A questionnaire on HPV awareness and knowledge was administered to 900 high school students in Xiangtan City of Hunan Province in China by layer cluster sampling. A total of 848 anonymous valid questionnaires were received from volunteers who completed the questionnaire correctly. Results: Only 10.1% had heard of HPV, and of those only 18.6% knew that HPV could lead to cervical cancer. Single factor analysis indicated that home address, age, grade, academic achievement, sex history, gender, father's education level and mother's education level were impact factors for HPV knowledge of high school students. Multiple regression analysis showed 4 independent risk factors associated with HPV knowledge: academic achievement, sex history, gender, and mother's education level. The limited knowledge came primarily from television and radio broadcasts (59.3%), the Internet (57.0%), parents (25.6%), medical workers (20.9%), and teachers (18.6%). Conclusion: High school students lack HPV knowledge, which is affected by multiple factors. Targeted health education of all sorts must be provided. Both schools and families are responsible for reinforcing HPV education provided to high school students. © Journal of Reproductive Medicine®, Inc.

A new magnetic nanocomposite material, magnetic 18-crown-6/Fe 3O4 nanocomposite (MCFN), was prepared for the removal of U(VI) from aqueous solution. The MCFN was composed of Fe3O 4 nanoparticales modified by covalent attachment of 18-crown-6, which can help the material to be removed easily from solution by magnetic force. As a new adsorbent for U(VI) removal, MCFN was characterized by infrared radiation, scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, vibrating sample magnetometer and thermal gravimetric analysis. Those factors affecting the sorption behavior of U(VI), such as acidity, temperature, initial concentration of U(VI) and the amount of crown ethers were studied by orthogonal experiments. A maximum U(VI) sorption capacity of 91.12 mg g-1 was achieved at 45 C, pH 5.5 for 30 min. The experimental results showed that MCFN had great sorption capacity, high selectivity and strong potentiality of enrichment and recovery for U(VI). In summary, MCFN is a promising candidate for U(VI) separation in future practical applications. © 2013 Akadémiai Kiadó, Budapest, Hungary.

目的:了解衡阳市城区住院分娩儿早吸吮现况及相关影响因素.方法:在衡阳市城区各综合性医院及妇幼保健院对部分住院分娩儿进行母乳喂养早吸吮和首次吸吮时间延后相关影响因素进行问卷调查;并采用卡方检验和单因素分析对获得的数据进行处理与分析.结果:衡阳市城区住院分娩儿母乳喂养率为76.59%,早吸吮率为10.6%;进行早吸吮的婴儿中母乳喂养率为96.67%,而未进行早吸吮的婴儿母乳喂养率为74.3%,两者比较差异有统计学意义(x2=7.76,OR=10.00).产妇及其家属对早吸吮相关知识的正确掌握(x2 =0.319,P=0.000)及获得医护人员帮助(x2=0.319,P=0.000)与早吸吮率高低有明显相关性.结论:衡阳市城区住院分娩儿早吸吮率较低,应加强产前母乳喂养相关信息的宣传、积极提供社会支持,提高早吸吮率,促进母乳喂养.
