Two hypothetical crystal-growth intermediates of a new pillared-layer framework have been isolated. The seemingly rigid pillared-layer framework also undergoes temperature-induced, time-dependent, hysteretic framework distortion.

摘要:
In this paper, on the basis of the topological index EDm derived from ionicity index matrix, improved distance matrix and branching degree matrix, we proposed the new topological descriptor EDm' by introducing the bond angle into hidden hydrogen graph of molecules and using the geometric distance instead of the sum of bond length between two vertexes. The EDm' describes the molecular structure more accurately, and realizes unique characterization to cis-trans isomers. The quantitative structure-property relationship (QSPR) models, with correlation coefficients (R) in the range of 0.984-1.000 for the boiling point (b.p.), the standard enthalpy of formation (DrHm theta), the molar refraction (R-m) and the molar volume (V-m) of some cis-trans isomers for alkenes, are subsequently developed by index EDm'. Moreover, the good stability and predictive ability of the models were demonstrated by LOU (leave-one-out) method and RSP (random sampling prediction) method, which further manifests the index EDm' has high potential of wide applications in QSPR study.

摘要:
The uranium(VI) accumulation was studied in detail by using the biomass of mangrove endophytic fungus Fusarium sp.#ZZF51 from the South China Sea. The uranium(VI) biosorption process onto the tested fungus powders was optimized at pH 4.0, adsorption time 60 min, and uranium(VI) initial concentration 50 mg L−1 with 61.89% of removal efficiency. According to Fourier transform infrared spectra for the tested fungus before and after loaded with uranium(VI), the results showed that both of hydroxyl and carboxyl groups acted as the important roles in the adsorption process. In addition, the experimental data were analyzed by using parameter and kinetic models, and it was obtained that the Langmuir isotherm model and the pseudo-second-order kinetic model provided better correlation with the experimental data for adsorption of uranium(VI).

A new surface ion-imprinted Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MCNTs), which was 6,6'-((1E,1'E)-(pyridine-2,6-diyl-bis(azanylyl))bis(methanylylidene))bis(2-allyl-phenol) and Pb(II) complex as functional monomer and template ion was presented for extracting and enrichment traces of Pb(II) ion. Parameters affecting the recovery of Pb(II) have been in-vestigated in detail. The novel IMCNTs display high affinity, specificity, and selectivity for Pb(II) with a maximum uptake capacity of 115.5 mg·g –1 at pH 4.0. Meanwhile, only 11 mins was enough for extracting 98.5% Pb(II) for the IMCNTs. No significant loss in adsorption capacity is observed when the IMCNTs are reused for eleven times. Separa-tion and preconcentration with IMCNTs particles results in a limit of detection of 0.47 μg·L –1 (3σ) and RSD (n = 8) of 1.16% by using atomic absorption spectrophotometer (AAS).

Myoglobin (Mb) is an ideal scaffold protein for rational protein design mimicking native enzymes. We recently designed a nitrite reductase (NiR) based on sperm whale Mb by introducing an additional distal histidine (Leu29 to His29 mutation) and generating a distal tyrosine (Phe43 to Tyr43 mutation) in the heme pocket, namely L29H/F43Y Mb, to mimic the active site of cytochrome cd
1 NiR from Ps. aeruginosa that contains two distal histidines and one distal tyrosine. The molecular modeling and dynamics simulation study herein revealed that L29H/F43Y Mb has the necessary structural features of native cytochrome cd
1 NiR and can provide comparable interactions with nitrite as in native NiRs, which provides rationality for the protein design and guides the protein engineering. Additionally, the present study provides an insight into the relatively low NiR activity of Mb in biological systems.

The Zr-Cu-Ce/ZSM-5 catalysts prepared by the simultaneous ion-exchange showed high activity for NO decomposition in the presence of O2,the highest conversion of NO was up to 75%,indicating that the Ce and Zr addition can enhance the activity of catalysts.A new highly active site,which facilitates oxygen mobilization and desorption,could be formed in the sample due to the Ce and Zr addition.In addition,the Zr addition can significantly improve the thermal stability of the catalyst.

Uranium is toxic to human body with mechanisms not fully understood. The structural and functional consequences of uranyl ions (UO22+) interacting with an axial mutant of cytochrome b5, His39Ser (cyt b5 H39S), were investigated by both spectroscopic and molecular modeling methods. Although slightly disturbs protein folding, UO22+ binding to cyt b5 H39S leads to a decrease of peroxidase activity. A uranyl binding site was further proposed in the heme-binding domain at Glu37 and Glu43. The impacts of UO22+ binding to cyt b5 H39S studied herein provide valuable insights into the toxicity mechanism of UO22+ towards membrane heme proteins.

Immobilized Saccharomyces cerevisiae (ISC) was prepared by the sodium alginate–gelatin embedding method after dry cells had been cross-linked by formaldehyde. Adsorption of uranium(VI) by incompletely and completely dry ISC was studied. The results indicated that incompletely dry ISC had greater adsorption capacity for U(VI), with physical adsorption being the primary mechanism, whereas completely dry ISC exhibited much greater rigidity and much smaller volume. Therefore, initial absorption of U(VI) by incompletely dry ISC followed by heating could be compared with glass solidification for disposal of radioactive waste. The influence of solution pH, temperature, and contact time on U(VI) absorption was also studied, with pH being found to be the main influencing factor. The adsorption mechanism of completely dry ISC was explored by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, indicating that the main adsorption mechanism is chemical adsorption.

摘要:
A higher prevalence of coronary heart disease (CHD) in people with diabetes. We investigated the high-density lipoprotein (HDL) subclass profiles and alterations of particle size in CHD patients with diabetes or without diabetes. Plasma HDL subclasses were quantified in CHD by 1-dimensional gel electrophoresis coupled with immunodetection. Although the particle size of HDL tend to small, the mean levels of low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) and total cholesterol (TC) have achieved normal or desirable for CHD patients with or without diabetes who administered statins therapy. Fasting plasma glucose (FPG), triglyceride (TG), TC, LDL-C concentrations, and HDL3 (HDL3b and 3a) contents along with Gensini Score were significantly higher; but those of HDL-C, HDL2b+preβ2, and HDL2a were significantly lower in CHD patients with diabetes versus CHD patients without diabetes; The preβ1-HDL contents did not differ significantly between these groups. Multivariate regression analysis revealed that Gensini Score was significantly and independently predicted by HDL2a, and HDL2b+preβ2. The abnormality of HDL subpopulations distribution and particle size may contribute to CHD risk in diabetes patients. The HDL subclasses distribution may help in severity of coronary artery and risk stratification, especially in CHD patients with therapeutic LDL, TG and HDL levels.
