摘要： The electrostatic attraction between electrons and nuclei is a fundamental force in electrochemistry. This force drives the interaction between electrons and nuclei, providing the potential for redox reactions. As a result, it is the basis of redox chemistry. In recent years, organic electrochemistry has made significant progress in oxidative hydrogen evolution coupling and sacrificial anode electroreduction, thanks to its efficient and environmentally friendly capacity to create reactive intermediates. This paper focuses on several areas in the field of electrochemistry, including optimizing electrode materials, developing new electrolytic catalysts, paired electrolysis, photoelectrocatalysis, bioelectrosynthesis, and artificial intelligence-assisted electrosynthesis. The aim is to optimize reaction mechanisms and explore interdisciplinary combinations. © 2023 Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, the Chinese Academy of Sciences

摘要： Enzyme-based biocatalytic treatment has been known as an effective measure to biologically degrade organic pollutants. Advantageously, enzymes could be immobilized on solid supports, and such fact enables reuse/prolong the enzymatic capability. It could be of great importance to functionalize a support material for enhancing the immobilization efficiency/stability of enzymes. As such, this study laid great emphasis on covalent bonding to immobilize horseradish peroxidase (HRP) on a functionalized rice straw biochar with glutaraldehyde (GA) as a crosslinker. Biochar was pretreated by the electrochemical method and the acid treatment respectively to enrich the oxygen-containing functional groups. These led to the enhanced immobilizing ability of biochar. The HRP immobilized on the electrochemically-functionalized biochar (HRP-EBC) showed three times as much enzyme activity as the HRP directly adsorbed onto biochar. The HRP immobilized on the acid-functionalized biochar (HRP-ABC) showed activity similar to that of HRP-EBC. It was concluded that both the (acid/electrochemical) pretreatments are effective to enhance enzyme immobilization. Nevertheless, the electrochemical functionalized method of biochar is chemical oxidant-free, and one important lesson from a series of tests was that the pretreatment of biochar through the electrochemical method could be more environmentally benign. Moreover, employing HRP-EBC could be beneficial from a perspective of a real environmental practice considering its higher pH, thermal stability, and good reusability. 80% of phenol was degraded in 1 h in the presence of HRP-EBC when pH was 7.0 and a ratio of H2O2 to phenol was 1:1.5. © 2022 Elsevier Ltd

From the viewpoint of green chemistry, the application of water in organic synthesis is highly attractive. 摘要： Vascular stent implantation has become an important choice for the treatment of severe cardiovascular and cerebrovascular blockage. Rational design is vital to ensure the mechanical properties of the vascular stents, which are important both to the implantation and service as for clinical treatment of coronary heart disease. Therefore we proposed a wholly new non-uniform honeycomb stent E and compared with an inverted honeycomb-like shaped stent F and a honeycomb-like shaped stent G. To evaluate their properties, a finite element method (FEM) was used to simulate the implantation process (crimp, crimp recoil, expand, and expand recoil) of these three different kinds of stents. Results showed that the stent E exhibits better mechanical behaviour than the other two stents F and G as far as radial strength and axial shortening performances and that the distribution of equivalent stress among the stent E is more uniform than that among the other two stents F and G. After that, a three-point bending method was used to study the bending flexibility of these three vascular stents. Stent E shows high bending stiffness compared with stents F and G due to the existence of additional support bridges in its structure. This study can be helpful to the rational design of optimizable PLA stents for its practical clinical performance and therefore possibly improve the prognosis of patients. © 2022 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

摘要： 多孔芳香框架材料是一类新兴的有机多孔纳米材料，具有稳定性高、比表面积大、易于修饰改性等特点，可以满足多种吸附材料设计的需求。近几年众多学者将修饰改性后的多孔芳香框架材料应用于海水提铀，发现其具有较大的铀吸附量、优异的铀选择性、良好的可循环性等特点。本文综述了近年来基于海水提铀的多孔芳香框架材料的研究进展，首先简要介绍了其合成反应与合成技术，然后分类讨论了与铀的相互作用机理，并评估了多种改性多孔芳香框架材料对铀的吸附性能，分析了其对铀的高选择性和高吸附效率的原因。最后，本文针对目前多孔芳香框架材料在海水提铀中的局限性（多孔芳香框架材料的合成、吸附性能的提高、成本的降低及机理的深层次研究等）为未来设计低成本高性能的多孔芳香框架材料吸附剂提供了几点建议。

摘要： A new porous phosphorylated chitosan/coal-based activated carbon composite sponge (PPCCS) was designed and synthesized to achieve selective uranium extraction from seawater. The effects of initial pH and initial uranium concentration, adsorption time and temperature, and competitive ions on the adsorption of uranium by PPCCS were studied. The adsorption reaction accords with the pseudo-second-order model and is a spontaneous endothermic reaction. The maximum adsorption capacity of PPCCS for uranium is 639.77 mg g−1 at 308 K and pH = 6. In addition, PPCCS has good reusability and stable adsorption capacity after adsorption and desorption for 5 times. The mechanism characterization and group masking results show that uranium is adsorbed by complexing with –OH, –NH2, and P–O on the superficies of PPCCS, and the synergistic action of the three functional groups can significantly enhance the selective adsorption of uranium by the PPCCS, especially in uranium (5 mg L−1)–vanadium (5 mg L−1) solutions, the distribution coefficients of PPCCS for uranium can reach 13,980.47 mL g−1, and for uranium and vanadium are significantly different (distribution coefficient (Kd) of uranium is 63 times higher than that of vanadium). The adsorption capacity of PPCCS for 1 L real seawater to uranium is 130 μg g−1. These conclusions demonstrate that PPCCS has great potential for uranium extraction from seawater. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.

摘要： Cadmium (Cd) is a common heavy metal that is highly toxic to the liver, however, the exact mechanism underlying this damage accompanied by apoptosis has not been thoroughly demonstrated. In this study, we found that Cd exposure significantly reduced cell viability, including the increased populations of apoptotic cells and caspase-3/-7/-12 activation in HepG2 cells. Mechanistically, Cd initiated oxidative stress via elevating reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels, leading to oxidative damage in HepG2 cells. Simultaneously, Cd exposure induced endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress via activating the protein kinase RNA-like ER kinase (PERK)-C/EBP homologous protein (CHOP) axis in HepG2 cells, and subsequently disturbed ER function as increased Ca2+ releasing from ER lumen. Intriguingly, further study revealed that oxidative stress is closely related with ER stress, as pretreatment with ROS scavenger, N-acetyl-l-cysteine (NAC) markedly reduced ER stress as well as protected ER function in Cd treated HepG2 cell. Collectively, these findings first revealed Cd exposure induced HepG2 cells death via a ROS-mediated PERK-CHOP-related apoptotic signaling pathway, which provides a novel insight into the mechanisms of Cd-induced hepatotoxicity. Furthermore, inhibitors for oxidative stress and ER stress might be considered as a new strategy to prevent or treat this disorder. © 2023 Wiley Periodicals LLC.

摘要： A new composite material, diethylenetriamine-functionalized thiosulfate intercalated zinc-nickel-aluminum hydrotalcite (DETA-ZnNiAl-S2O32−-LDHs), was synthesized by introducing S2O32− between ZnNiAl-LDHs layers and grafting diethylenetriamine for functionalization modification. The morphological structure and physicochemical properties of samples were analyzed using XRD, FTIR, SEM and BET characterization. By analyzing the results of the batch removal experiments, it was found that the removal process of U(VI) by DETA-ZnNiAl-S2O32−-LDHs was more consistent with the pseudo-second-order and Langmuir isotherm models, and the process was endothermic and spontaneous. The maximum removal capacity of DETA-ZnNiAl-S2O32−-LDHs reached 558.66 mg/g at pH of 6, contact time of 6 h, sample dosage of 0.004 g and temperature of 313 K. The removal of U(VI) by DETA-ZnNiAl-S2O32−-LDHs involved adsorption and reduction: U(VI) bound to the laminar hydroxyl group and diethylenetriamine of the material through surface complexation, while the thiosulfate in the material reduced U(VI) to U(IV) and then removed it. In addition, DETA-ZnNiAl-S2O32−-LDHs still showed superior removal performance under high salinity and complex co-existing ion environment. The results suggest that DETA-ZnNiAl-S2O32−-LDHs have potential applications in the efficient remediation of radioactive wastewater. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.

摘要： Chiral pesticides R/S-ethiproles(R/S-EPLs) have different biotoxicity. Due to the difficulty in the separation of chiral sulphur enantiomers, it is of great significance to study the selective recognition and separation of chiral sulphur enantiomers R/S-ethiproles. Based on DFT method, we theoretically designed a novel asymmetrical ligand of 4-amino-6-(9-[5-hydroxy-1H-indol-6-yl]-4,7-dimethoxy-1,10-phenanthrolin-2-yl)-1H-indol-5-ol (AHPIL). Then we further constructed the chiral-at-uranium complex, namely, Uranyl-AHPIL, to recognize and separate the enantiomers R/S-EPLs. Various analyses, including electrostatic potential (ESP), molecular geometric structures, Mayer bond order (MBO), electron density difference diagram (EDDM), independent gradient model based on Hirschfield partition (IGMH), quantum theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM), molecular orbitals, the extended transition state-natural orbitals for chemical valence (ETS-NOCV), hard–soft acid–base (HSAB), relaxed force constants (RFCs) and binding free energy, furthermore unravelled the selective complexation and chiral separation ability of Uranyl-AHPIL receptor to R/S-EPLs guests. The results all indicated that the novel ligand could coordinate with uranyl to form a stable chiral-at-uranium complex, which more inclined selectively to bind with R/S-EPLs through thiyl oxygen O22, and its complexation ability to S-EPL was much greater than to R-EPL. In solvents water, acetone, dichloromethane, benzene, cyclohexane and in gas phase, the separation factors of Uranyl-AHPIL towards R/S-EPL were in range of 189–633, and the enantioselectivity coefficients were all above 99%. These results provide a theoretical guidance for the complexation and separation of chiral pesticides and at the same time offer a new reference for the design of actinide complexes. © 2023 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

摘要： Rationally tuning the emission position and narrowing the full width at half-maximum (FWHM) of an emitter is of great importance for many applications. By synergistically improving rigidity, strengthening the resonant strength, inhibiting molecular bending and rocking, and destabilizing the HOMO energy level, a deep-blue emitter (CZ2CO) with a peak wavelength of 440 nm and an ultranarrow spectral FWHM of 16 nm (0.10 eV) was developed via intramolecular cyclization in a carbonyl/N resonant core (QAO). The dominant υ0-0 transition character of CZ2CO gives a Commission Internationale de I’Éclairage coordinates (CIE) of (0.144, 0.042), nicely complying with the BT.2020 standard. Moreover, a hyper-fluorescent device based on CZ2CO shows a high maximum external quantum efficiency (EQEmax) of 25.6 % and maintains an EQE of 22.4 % at a practical brightness of 1000 cd m−2. © 2023 Wiley-VCH GmbH.

摘要： The ongoing pursuit of mixed-dimensional van der Waals heterojunctions has attracted enormous interests owing to their obviously enhanced photoelectrochemical (PEC) characteristics compared to their single components. Herein, we demonstrate the preparation of 0D Bismuth nanoparticles (Bi NPs) coated 2D Borophene (B@Bi) mixed-dimensional heterojunction by hydrothermal method. Benefiting from the promoted photo-induced electron/hole pair separation, shorted charge transfer length, and built-in electric field, the fabricated B@Bi-based PEC-type photodetector (PD) exhibits enhanced self-powered photodetection properties along with the fast response and recovery speed (0.02/0.02 s) in 0.5 M KOH electrolyte under 365 nm illumination. Additionally, repeatable ON/OFF switch signals can be observed after 30 days. Our present work provides an opportunity for fabricating high-performance mixed-dimensional B@Bi-based PDs with good long-term stability. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.

摘要： Room temperature liquid NaK alloy is a promising candidate for high performance metal batteries, due to its dendrite-free property and high energy density. However, its practical application is hindered by the high surface tension of liquid NaK, which causes difficulties in maintaining a stable contact with a current collector. Here, the authors demonstrate the extraordinary stable confinement of NaK alloy at room temperature by constructing a super-wetting substrate, which is based on highly dispersed cobalt-single-atom carbon nanoarrays. The developed liquid anode electrode prevented successfully the leakage of NaK alloy even in harsh stress (>5MPa) or sharp shock conditions. The symmetric cells achieved ultra-long reversible plating/stripping cycling life in both Na-ion (>1010hrs) and K-ion electrolytes (>4000hrs) at 10mA cm−2/10mAh cm−2. Upon fitting with Na3V2(PO4)3, the NaK assembled full battery provided high energy density (332.6kWh kg−1) and power density (11.05kW kg−1) with excellent stability after >21600cycles, which is the best value reported so far. The prepared pouch cell was able to drive a four-axis aircraft, demonstrating a great prospect in practical application. This work offers a new approach in the preparation of advanced dendrite-free liquid metal anodes with promising applications in electrochemical energy storage. © 2023 The Authors. 摘要： Graphene quantum dots are the latest addition to the low-dimensional nanomaterial family, which have drawn growing attention due to their unique physiochemical properties and potential applications in many fields. However, their practical application is hindered by the high fabrication cost and environmental concerns regarding unsustainable carbon sources and routes. This work demonstrates a universal approach to fabricate various heteroatom(s) doped lignin-derived graphene quantum dots (LGQDs) for utilization in the photoelectrochemical-type photodetectors (PDs). The results indicate that LGQDs are endowed with relatively dopant-rich chemical states and tailorable broadband photoluminescence. Based on these advantages, these novel LGQDs-based PDs present obvious and fast photo-response within the visible region, as well as good long-term stability in the mild neutral environment, suggesting their great practical significance. It is believed that this work paves a new way for developing PDs based on the photochemically active species from sustainable and cheap biomass-derived lignin.

摘要： Camphor leaves were used as the precursor for the hydrothermal synthesis of carbon quantum dots. The preparation method is simple and rapid, and the raw material is environmentally friendly and easy to obtain. Without additional modification, the carbon quantum dots were used as fluorescent probes for the sensitive and selective detection of Fe3+ and isoniazid at different excitation wavelengths. For Fe3+, at the excitation wavelength of 320 nm, the ratio of fluorescence intensity of CQD solution after adding Fe3+ to CQD solution without Fe3+ addition, F/F0, and Fe3+ concentration showed a good linear relationship in the range of 2.72 × 10−5 to 1.00 × 10−4 mol L−1 (R2 = 0.9912), and the limit of detection was 8.16 μmol L−1. For isoniazid, at the excitation wavelength of 270 nm, the ratio of fluorescence intensity of CQDs solution with isoniazid to CQDs solution without isoniazid, F/F0, and isoniazid concentration showed good linear relationships in the range of 3.81 × 10−6 to 1.00 × 10−5 mol L−1 (R2 = 0.9941) and 1.00 × 10−5 to 2.10 × 10−4 mol L−1 (R2 = 0.9910) respectively, and the limit of detection was 1.14 μmol L−1. A fluorescence method for the determination of Fe and isoniazid content was proposed. The method has been used to detect iron in iron supplement tablets and isoniazid in isoniazid tablets with satisfactory results. © 2023 The Royal Society of Chemistry.

摘要： Radioactive iodine exhibits medical values in radiology, but its excessive emissions can cause environmental pollution. Thus, the capture of radioiodine poses significant engineering for the environment and medical radiology. The adsorptive capture of radioactive iodine by metal—organic frameworks (MOFs) has risen to prominence. In this work, a Th-based MOF (denoted as Th-BPYDC) was structurally designed and synthesized, consisting of [Th6(µ3-O)4(µ3-OH)4(H2O)6]12+ clusters, abundant bipyridine units, and large cavities that allowed guest molecules diffusion and transmission. Th-BPYDC exhibited the uptake capacities of 2.23 g·g−1 and 312.18 mg·g−1 towards I2 vapor and I2 dissolved in cyclohexane, respectively, surpassing its corresponding analogue Th-UiO-67. The bipyridine units boosted the adsorption performance, and Th-BPYDC showed good reusability with high stability. 摘要： Recently, capacitive deionization has become a promising approach for uranium extraction owing to its energy-efficiency and environmental benign. However, the adsorbed charged uranium (VI) (U(VI)) would repulse the incoming U(VI) ions, and might re-enter into solution, vastly impeding the improvement of electro-adsorption performance. Reducing the adsorbed U(VI) ions into U(IV) precipitation is an ideal way to address above issues. Here, a coupling approach of photocatalytic reduction and electro-adsorption (PEA) was proposed. An asymmetric electrode configuration, composed of phosphate functionalized graphene (GP) cathode and graphene/TiO2 nanocomposite (GT) anode was rationally designed, and originally proved its enhanced U(VI) extraction via the PEA method. The asymmetric electrode device enables the fast transport of photo-electron and the rapidly directed migration of U(VI) ion to the GP cathode. More importantly, it combines three synthetic mechanisms of complexation, electro-adsorption, and photocatalytic reduction to extract U(VI) ions. As a consequence, the as-designed PEA method shows a higher removal rate of 91.3% in comparison with conventional photocatalytic reduction (PA) and electro-adsorption (EA) methods. Meanwhile, its kinetics rate is 225% and 50% faster than PA and EA methods. Furthermore, an enhanced reduction efficiency of U(VI) to U(IV), good selectivity as well as reusability for PEA method were also obtained. The results provide a potential approach to combine multiple mechanisms for efficient U(VI) extraction from aqueous solution by purposeful design of asymmetric electrodes. © 2023 Elsevier B.V.

摘要： Controllable ion transport through nanochannels is crucial for biological and artificial membrane systems. Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with regular and tunable nanochannels are emerging as an ideal material platform to develop synthetic membranes for ion transport. However, ion exclusion by COF membranes remains challenging because most COF materials have large-sized nanochannels leading to nonselective transport of small ions. Here we develop ionic COF membranes (iCOFMs) to control ion transport through charged framework nanochannels, the interior surfaces of which are covered with arrayed sulfonate groups to render superior charge density. The overlap of an electrical double layer in charged nanochannels blocks the entry of co-ions, narrows their passageways, and concomitantly restrains the permeation of counterions via the charge balance. These highly charged large-sized nanochannels within the iCOFM enable ion exclusion while maintaining intrinsically high water permeability. Our results reveal possibilities for controllable ion transport based on COF membranes for water purification, ionic separation, sensing, and energy conversion. © 2022 American Chemical Society.
