Continuous biological removal of selenate in the presence of cadmium and zinc in UASB reactors at psychrophilic and mesophilic conditions

摘要:
This study investigated the continuous biological removal of selenate [Se(VI)] in the presence of cadmium [Cd(II)] and zinc [Zn(II)] by anaerobic granular sludge in two upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) reactors operating under psychrophilic (17.5 ± 0.4 ℃) and mesophilic (30 ± 0.5 ℃) conditions for 42 and 74 days, respectively. Se(VI) and total selenium (Se) removal efficiencies reached, respectively, 99.6% and 95.0% in the UASB reactor operating at psychrophilic conditions. Cd(II) and Zn(II) removal efficiencies by the mesophilic UASB reactor reached, respectively, 99.2% and 96.2%. In the presence of Cd and/or Zn in the influent, both Se(VI) and total Se had a higher removal efficiency than when solely feeding Se(VI), both at 17.5 ℃ and 30 ℃. The lactate removal rates of the UASB reactors amounted to 1.0–1.2 mM/h. The mass balance showed 64.8%–79.5% of the supplied Se was entrapped in the biomass at the end of the experiment. The polysaccharides and protein concentrations of the extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) increased ∼3 to 5 times upon heavy metal exposure. A dramatic change in the microbial community occurred in the UASB reactors during long term operation. This study showed that UASB reactors have desirable Se(VI), Cd(II) and Zn(II) removal efficiencies both at 17.5 and 30 ℃. © 2018 Elsevier B.V.

摘要:
Sulfate-reducing granular sludge was used for uranium-contaminated wastewater treatment and the responsible microbial community was analyzed. Four feedings, with 6 days for every feeding and 20 mg/L initial uranium, were provided at 27.5 (±2.5) oC. After the four feedings, a uranium removal efficiency of 94% was obtained. Environmental scanning electron microscopy (ESEM) showed that short rod bacteria were the dominant microorganisms in the granular sludge. X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) confirmed the presence of uranium on the granular surface. High-throughput sequencing was carried out for analyzing the bacterial diversity and community structure. The total data set comprised 8,290 high quality sequences, which could be divided into 605 operational taxonomic units (OTUs). The library coverage was 0.96 and the alpha diversity indices of ACE, Chao1, Shannon and Simpson were 2,255.40, 1,346.12, 4.03 and 0.05, respectively. There were 13 bacterial genera present with a ratio of more than 1% of the total 124 genera, among which Desulfovibrio (16.48%), Clostridium IV (9.29%), Bacteroides (3.46%) and Citrobacter (1.41%) were assumed as the functional bacteria, with a cumulative proportion of 30.64% of the total bacterial population. The results provide insights into the bacterial community of sulfate-reducing granular sludge exposed to high concentrations of uranium (20 mg/L). © IWA Publishing 2019

摘要:
A drop hammer impact test on jointed rock masses is carried out in this study. According to the analysis of the effect of different joints on the strength, the deformation and the damage of jointed rock masses, the law of the mechanical properties and crack propagation of jointed rock masses is observed under impact load. First, when the dip angle and the number of the joint are greater, the dynamic bearing capacity of rock masses will be weaker. Meanwhile the deformation and the damage of rock masses will increase. Then, when the impact load is small, the dynamic compression deformation of jointed rock mass is mainly due to the normal closure of joints. After the impact load increased, more microcracks are produced around the joints. These cracks will gradually spread along the joints and finally lead to the damage of jointed rock masses. Besides, the joint can increase the stress waves energy dissipation and weaken the propagation of the stress waves in the rock mass. The study provides a reference for the dynamic analysis of fractured rock masses and the excavation support of surrounding rock mass in deep mining of mines. © 2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

作为城市环境中的一部分,高校入口空间不仅是整个校园的肇始和开端,还是城市空间的枢纽与点缀.本文以南华大学雨母校区入口空间设计为例,通过对大门前广场和大门建筑主体两方面进行分析,主要从用地的地势地貌、前广场的内向性与外在性、活动场地的场所感与人性化以及大门建筑主体的穿行功能、安全功能和文化功能等方面加以探索.思考了新校区入口空间如何在场所的适应性与文化的标识性等方面满足人的基本需求并与老校区产生联系.利用当代空间环境设计的创作理念与设计手法,塑造出新环境中的高校入口空间.

摘要:
Polyethyleneimine (PEI)/graphene oxide (GO) was synthesized through a self-assembly method with the formation of the amide group –CONH– between –NH 2 on PEI and –COOH on GO. The formation was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The oxygen- and nitrogen-containing functional groups of PEI/GO were involved in the adsorption of U(VI), as determined under the FT-IR and XPS analyses of PEI/GO and U(VI)-adsorbed PEI/GO. The pH, contact times, and initial concentration, which are the factors influencing the removal of U(VI), were investigated. The adsorption of U(VI) onto PEI/GO was fitted well with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir isotherm model. The maximum sorption capacities of U(VI) on PEI/GO (145.14 mg·g −1 ) at pH = 7 and T = 303 K were higher than that of U(VI) on GO (94.61 mg·g −1 ). This study provides a novel and simple method for synthesizing GO derivatives with efficient adsorption performances of U(VI) from aqueous solution. © 2018

摘要:
The capillary ceiling radiation cooling panel (C-CRCP) is a newly developed terminal device for air conditioning to provide indoor thermal comfort for occupants and to save energy. In this paper, numerical modelling of a room with a C-CRCP system was used to analyze radiant heat transfer under non-steady-state conditions. Experiments were conducted in an environmental chamber to verify simulation results. The chamber was equipped with a C-CRCP, which was covered with gypsumboard. The results showed that the inlet water temperature had a significant influence on ceiling surface temperature. The ceiling surface temperature and the steady-state time were increased with higher inlet water temperature. A vertical gradient in indoor air temperature was found. Ceiling surface temperature and indoor air temperature were increased with an increase in inlet air temperature. The energy supply rate of the radiant panel had a positive correlation with chilled water velocity. The amount of radiation was double the amount of convection, and the thickness of the gypsumboard had virtually no effect on the proportions of radiation and convection. The model was considered validated since the maximum relative errors between experimental data and simulation results of inlet water temperature and supply air conditions were within 10%. © The Author(s) 2018.

摘要:
Traditional hydrothermal method (TH) and alkali fusion-assisted hydrothermal method (AFH) were evaluated for the preparation of zeolites from waste basalt powder by using NaOH as the activation reagent in this study. The synthesized products were characterized by BET, XRD, FTIR and SEM. The effects of acid treatment, alkali/basalt ratio, calcination temperature and crystallization temperature on the synthesis process were studied. The results showed that AFH successfully synthesized zeolite X with higher crystallinity and no zeolite was formed by TH. The specific surface area of synthetic zeolite X was 486.46 m(2).g(-1), which was much larger than that of original basalt powder (12.12 m(2).g(-1)). Acid treatment and calcination temperature had no effect on zeolite types, but acid treatment improved the yield and quality of zeolite. Alkali/basalt ratio and crystallization temperature not only affected the crystallinity of synthesized zeolites but also affected its type. The optimum synthesis condition of zeolite X are as follows: acid treatment of 5 wt% HCl solution, NaOH/basalt ratio of 1:1, a calcination temperature of 650 degrees C and crystallization temperature of 120 degrees C. The work shows that basalt can be used as a raw material to prepare zeolite.

核设施中的设备在运行过程中会受到不同程度的放射性污染,因此,需要对污染的设备进行去污处理。采用超声波与化学方法协同去除聚氯乙烯(PVC)板、有机玻璃、不锈钢和橡胶等几种核设施常用材质表面放射性污染,并考察了去污时间、硝酸质量分数、清洗温度和有无超声波辅助等因素对去污效果的影响,研究结果表明:延长去污时间、增加硝酸质量分数、提高清洗温度和超声波辅助均能有效提高去污效果,该结果对于核设施表面放射性污染的去污具有重要的指导意义。

摘要:
Magnesium-aluminum hydrotalcite and carbon nanotube composites (CNTs/MgAl-LDHs) were prepared by one-step hydrothermal method using magnesium nitrate, aluminum nitrate and carbon nanotubes as raw materials and urea as precipitant. The samples were characterized by SEM, XRD, BET and other methods. The adsorption properties of CNTs/MgAl-LDHs on chloride ions and the factors affecting the adsorption of chloride ions were studied. The results show that the prepared CNTs/MgAl-LDHs exhibit a three-dimensional honeycomb structure with a specific surface area of 103.019 m2 /g, which is larger than the specific surface area of MgAl-LDHs of 84.344 m2 /g. The results showed that the optimal adsorption conditions were: adsorption temperature was 45℃, the pH value was 8, the adsorption time was 100 min, the Cl- concentration was 0.01 M (584 mg/L), and the adsorbent concentration was 1.0 g/L. CNTs/MgAl-LDHs has the best adsorption performance for chloride ions. The maximum adsorption capacity is 75.58 mg/g. The adsorption isotherms and adsorption kinetics are consistent with the Langmuir isotherm model and the quasi-secondary kinetic model. © 2019 Trans Tech Publications Ltd, Switzerland.

摘要:
对不同掺量氧化镁混凝土试块预制裂缝并在不同浓度硫酸钠溶液中进行养护试验,利用超声波综合回弹法测量带缝试块回弹波速,对比分析不同养护龄期时试块的波速和抗压强度的变化,研究了氧化镁和硫酸钠对混凝土裂缝自愈合性能的化学激励作用。结果表明:掺氧化镁和硫酸钠溶液养护均能延长混凝土裂缝的自愈合龄期;掺氧化镁混凝土裂缝的28 d强度恢复率随氧化镁掺量增加而提高;试块28 d强度恢复率随硫酸钠溶液浓度增加而显著增长;在28 d养护龄期内,掺12%氧化镁混凝土试块在6%硫酸钠溶液中养护后,抗压强度恢复率最高。

摘要:
采用给拱肋卸载及悬索桥不设锚碇的理念,提出一种新的桥梁结构体系--缆拱组合桥,其主要由主拱、主缆、主塔、边拱及主梁组成。通过选取适宜的垂跨比、矢跨比、拱轴线等参数来调整拱和缆分担主跨桥面荷载的比例,让缆承担更多荷载,从而拱肋得到大幅度卸载,既降低了其应力水平,又提高了稳定性,使缆拱桥的跨径可以超越拱桥。以1 008 m跨径为例,对缆拱桥进行概念设计,并通过有限元研究其结构强度、刚度、稳定性等问题。研究表明:缆拱桥不仅保留了悬索桥承载力高、拱桥刚度大的特点,同时还具有一定的美学价值。

文章以深圳市为例,重点分析南方沿海城市,尤其是发达地区的城市在经历了城市社会经济高速发展时期后,所面临的城市水体污染以及防洪排涝压力,以及在深圳进入存量规划阶段后由于大量城市更新项目带来的新的市政设施压力等,由此导致城市面临生态保育不足的现状。从提出完善海绵城市建设所需数据库入手,构建完整海绵体系和防洪排涝体系,统筹智慧水务监测控制系统与社会服务应用以及海绵城市建设目标,分区建设,缓解城市内涝,减少其对于城市快速发展的影响。以期在未来南方沿海城市的海绵城市建设中起到前瞻引导作用。

文章应用基于流体网络基本原理编制的一维流体系统仿真软件Flowmaster,对加压排水管道中水泵在不同工况下的水力变化特性进行研究。结果表明,系统正常运行中当有水泵在启动或停止瞬间,其它水泵的流量会发生剧烈波动,势必引起整个管道系统压力的剧烈变化,可能产生水锤对系统的安全稳定运行造成巨大威胁。合理设计空气阀可以有效减小系统流量波动,保证压力排水系统稳定运行。

The stability analysis of rock is an important basis to ensure the safe exploitation of underground resources and the reliable operation of space engineering. Uniaxial compression and acoustic emission (AE) tests were carried out on two common rock samples with strong rock burst tendency. The relationship between mechanical characteristics, AE characteristics, and rock burst tendency in the failure process of rock with different body types and the evolution of fractal characteristics of AE parameters were discussed. Based on the cusp mutation theory, the catastrophe model of AE characteristic parameters was established to quantify the instability mechanism of rock mass. The results show that the AE mutation rate (AEMR) of the cubic specimens increase from a low level to a high level gradually in the stable fracture stage, while that of the cylindrical specimens increase sharply to the maximum when the specimens are near failure. The AE cumulative energy curves of cubic specimens show a "step" rise, while that of cylindrical specimens show a "gradual" rise, and the rock burst process of cubic specimens is faster. The fractal dimension evolution mode of AE characteristic parameters of cubic specimens during uniaxial compression text is decline-rise-decline, while that of cylindrical specimen is decline-rise-decline-steeply rise. According to the periodic change of AE cumulative energy curve, combined with the rock failure cusp mutation model, the occurrence of rock burst can be well predicted, providing certain theoretical guidance for the stability analysis of underground engineering rock mass. © 2019 Bing Sun et al.

In recent years, researchers at home and abroad have used lead-zinc tailings to prepare green building materials for analysis. The main discussion on the preparation of geopolymers and foamed ceramics from lead-zinc tailings is given. The heavy metal curing and radiation-proofing ability of lead-zinc tailings-based building materials are briefly introduced. The results show that the lead-zinc tailings-based green building materials have High strength, heavy metal curing and radiation protection. Finally, the application and prospects of lead-zinc tailings in the field of building materials are analyzed, which provides a theoretical basis for the researchers in the field. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

摘要:
静态条件下,比较探究了不同温度条件5种常见吸油材料(无纺布、吸油毡、海绵、麻袋、活性炭)对油的质量浓度约为140 mg/L的各石油类污染物的吸附效果。结果表明,各常见吸油材料都能达到瞬时吸附石油类污染物的效果;污水温度对各种吸油材料的吸附效果有较大的影响,温度、石油污染物种类的不同影响效果不同;其中,无纺布的吸油能力最好,吸油量可达254.7 mg/g。在实际流域溢油污染应急过程中,可根据其污染石油的含量,以及污染水源的性质合理选择吸油材料,更大效率的提高应急处置能力。
