摘要:
By the theoretical analysis and the finite element (FE) method, a new model for measuring the elastic constants of transversely isotropic materials has been proposed from spherical indentation. A theoretical analysis of the spherical indentation modulus for the materials is presented. Extensive spherical indentation tests were implemented by three dimensional (3D) FE simulations. By fitting the simulation results, the analytical relationship correlating the elastic parameters with the indentation moduli at three different indentation orientation angles (0°, 45°, and 90°) was set up. The effectiveness of the proposed method was examined by a series of numerical indentation experiments. It is found that the calculated values by the proposed method are well consistent with the input elastic parameters. The sensitivity of the calculated elastic parameters to the experimental data was analyzed. Simultaneously, this method was applied to carbon fiber materials. The results calculated by the method proposed in this paper were compared with results obtained by the theoretical model and experimental measurement to verify the effectiveness of this method. Thus the proposed method is practiced and could be used to identify the elastic properties of transversely isotropic materials. © 2023

摘要:
Intrinsic thermoelectric properties in biphenylene nanoribbons (BNRs) and effect of lattice defects are investigated by employing the nonequilibrium Green's function. A comparative analysis on intrinsic thermoelectric properties between graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) and BNRs is performed. Results show that although the Seebeck coefficient of BNRs is lower than that of the corresponding GNRs, BNRs exhibit better thermoelectric properties than the corresponding GNRs due to the lower phonon thermal conductance of BNRs. It is also shown that the lattice defects can enhance the maximum ZT (ZTmax) in armchair BNRs (ABNRs) and zigzag BNRs (ZGNRs), where the ZTmax can be up to 1.1 and 0.4 at T = 300 K, respectively. Moreover, such the enhancement in defective ZBNRs is more remarkable than that in defective ABNRs. Theoretical analysis reveals that this enhancement of the ZTmax originates from the substantial reduction of phonon thermal conductance due to the strong backscattering by the highly localized phonon states around the lattice defects. © 2023 Elsevier B.V.

摘要:
Finding new (up to CCZ-equivalence) constructions of APN functions is one of the important but difficult topics in the study of cryptographic functions. Up to now, only 6 infinite families of power APN functions and 14 infinite families of APN polynomials are known. Although the CCZ-equivalence between power APN functions has been completely characterized, a similar theoretical analysis between polynomial APN functions and power APN functions is still missing. In this paper we prove that, in dimension not multiple of 3, a recently introduced family of APN quadrinomials is CCZ-inequivalent to any power APN function. Moreover, we prove that a more general family of APN functions is EA-equivalent to this family. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.

摘要:
In the last decades, because of their significantly important applications, a large number of papers were devoted to constructing cryptographic functions with interesting properties by various methods. In this paper, our motivation is to construct more families of such functions up to EA-equivalence (extended affine equivalence) by using the properties of CCZ-equivalence (Carlet-Charpin-Zinoviev equivalence). To this end, we present two CCZ-equivalent forms, and show their applications on bent functions, vectorial functions having the maximum number of bent components, and vectorial plateaued functions with single amplitude, respectively. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.

In this paper, we further push the studies on permutation polynomials over the finite fields Fq2 with q=2m. We find the coefficients of f(x)=x+a1xs1(q−1)+1+a2xs2(q−1)+1+a3xs3(q−1)+1+a4xs4(q−1)+1+a5xs5(q−1)+1 over Fq2 that lead f(x) to be a permutation for [Formula presented] in case of a5=0, and find more new (si) such that f(x) is a permutation hexanomial of Fq2 with coefficients in F4. Some well-known results are covered by our results. The numerical results suggest that the sufficient conditions we find in the first class of permutation pentanomials are also necessary. © 2023 Elsevier Inc.

摘要:
Cr-based coatings with or without a Mo interlayer were deposited on a Zr substrate by multi-arc ion plating, and the effect of the Mo interlayer on the oxidation behavior of the coatings at different time lengths (maximum 90 min) at 1160 °C was investigated. Atomic scale characterization confirms that, on the one hand, the Mo interlayer prevents the Cr coating from reacting with the Zr substrate to form the ZrCr2 Laves phase and, on the other hand, the solid solution structure generated due to Mo doping effectively guarantees the integrity of the Cr2O3 oxide layer and the residual Cr coating. © 2023 Elsevier Ltd

摘要:
In this paper, we present numerical simulation results that indicate that under certain conditions, a double-saddle antenna can excite helicon modes that resonate with the driving frequency in a nonuniform toroidal plasma, and m=1 and m=2 resonant standing helicon waves can separate or coexist in the toroidal plasma. The power absorption associated with the resonant standing wave is much larger than the power absorption associated with the nonresonant eigenmodes and accounts for most of the RF power deposited into the plasma. By adjusting the antenna frequency and wavenumber kz, the wave field structure, such as the standing wave pattern, the partially travelling-partially standing wave structure and the standing wave structure with amplitude modulation, can be controlled, which means that one can possibly control the resonant power absorption through careful antenna geometry and frequency design. © 2022

摘要:
The van der Waals (vdW) heterostructures employing graphene and hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) have emerged as a typical system for building emergent two-dimensional devices, such as atomically thin transistors or capacitors. Herein, we study the nonlinear thermal transport in such vdW heterostructure by non-equilibrium molecular dynamics simulations. The results show that an obvious negative differential thermal resistance (NDTR) phenomenon can be observed under small temperature bias when the interlayer coupling becomes stronger. The vibrational spectra analysis manifests that the phonon filtering mechanism induced by interlayer coupling greatly hinders the interfacial thermal transport. To obtain the optimum conditions, the dependence of NDTR on the system length, lateral width, external temperature, and defect density is taken into account. Our findings extend the phonon filtering mechanism to thermal information processing. © 2022 Author(s).

The influence of two driven currents simultaneously and respectively imposed on the m/n = 2/1 and 3/2 resistive tearing modes in tokamak plasmas is researched by using a three-dimensional toroidal magnetohydrodynamic code CLT. The simulation results show that using two suitable driven currents can better suppress multiple tearing modes than using only one of the two driven currents. When the two suitable driven currents are simultaneously imposed on both the m/n = 2/1 and 3/2 modes, respectively, the two modes may be well suppressed. If only one of the driven currents is imposed on the m/n = 2/1 mode, then the m/n = 2/1 mode may be well suppressed but the m/n = 3/2 mode may be not. Conversely, if only the other of the two driven currents is imposed on the m/n = 3/2 mode, both the two modes may be not suppressed. Moreover, it should be noted that the parameters of using two driven currents to suppress multiple tearing modes must be appropriate; otherwise, some new modes (such as m/n = 5/3 mode) may be excited and grown due to the interaction among the driven currents and multiple modes. © 2022 Author(s).

摘要:
In this paper, we characterize the coefficients of f(x)=x+a1xs1(2m−1)+1+a2xs2(2m−1)+1+a3xs3(2m−1)+1 over F22m that lead f(x) to be a permutation of F22m for the following three cases: 1) [Formula presented]; 2) [Formula presented], where m, k are two positive integers; 3) [Formula presented]. We transform the problems for the first two cases in the investigation of some (2k+1)-th degree equations with variable in the unit circle. The numerical results suggest that the sufficient conditions that we find in this paper on the coefficients are also necessary. It turned out that some well-known results can be recovered (or covered) by our results. © 2021 Elsevier Inc.

Poly-cyclooctatetraene framework (PCF)-graphene, an emerging all-sp2 hybridized two-dimensional (2D) carbon allotrope, possesses an intrinsic direct bandgap (0.77 eV) and excellent mechanical properties, indicating great potential in nanoelectronics. Understanding the thermal transport behavior of PCF-graphene is of vital importance for determining the reliability of related devices based on it. In this work, the thermal transport in PCF-graphene is systematically studied using the Boltzmann transport theory combined with first-principles calculations. The results show that the room-temperature thermal conductivity of PCF-graphene with only considering three-phonon scattering is as high as 1587.3 W/m K along the zigzag direction, and decreases by 27.1% (1157.4 W/m K) when including four-phonon scattering, indicating the four-phonon scattering plays a non-negligible role in in thermal transport. Although the thermal conductivity of PCF-graphene is not as large as that in graphene, it still exceeds most common 2D materials and makes it suitable for applications in the thermal management of microelectronics. Analyses of phonon group velocity and phonon scattering rates are conducted to reveal the high thermal conductivity of PCF. Moreover, as the temperature increases to 800 K, the reduction of thermal conductivity is close to 50% after including four-phonon scattering. The analysis of phonon group velocity and phonon scattering rates are conducted to reveal the underlying mechanism. Our results provide insights for constructing high-thermal-conductivity materials based on 2D carbon allotropes. © 2022 Author(s).

摘要:
In this paper, solutions of a Novikov equation are discussed based on the bifurcation method of dynamical systems. Through establishing a Hamiltonian function, the existence of a smooth soliton solution and a periodic cuspon solution are established for the corresponding traveling wave system of the Novikov equation. Numerical results are carried out to illustrate the feasibility of the main results. All these theories can be seen to fill the gap of the literatures Li (2014) and Pan and Li (2016). It has long been known from measurements that buoyant motions cause the mean-velocity profile (MVP) in thermally-stratified, wall-bounded turbulent flows to significantly deviate from its constant-density counterpart. Theoretical analysis has restricted attention to an 'intermediate layer' of the MVP, akin to the celebrated 'log layer' in the constant-density case. Here, for thermally-stratified plane-Couette flows, we study the shape and scaling of the whole MVP. We elucidate the mechanisms that dictate the shape of the MVP by using the framework of the spectral link (Gioia et al 2010 Phys. Rev. Lett. 105 184501), and obtain scaling laws for the whole MVP by generalizing the Monin-Obukhov similarity theory. © 2021 The Japan Society of Fluid Mechanics and IOP Publishing Ltd.

摘要:
In the past several decades, many papers involving the stability and Hopf bifurcation of delayed neural networks have been published. However, the results on the stability and Hopf bifurcation for fractional order neural networks with delays and fractional order neural networks with leakage delays are very rare. This paper is concerned with the stability and the existence of Hopf bifurcation of fractional order BAM neural networks with or without leakage delay. The Laplace transform, stability and bifurcation theory of fractional-order differential equations and Matlab software will be applied. The stability condition and the sufficient criterion of existence of Hopf bifurcation for fractional order BAM neural networks with delay (leakage delay) are established. It is found that when the sum of two delays (leakage delay) crosses a critical value, then a Hopf bifurcation will appear. The obtained results play an important role in designing neural networks. Also the derived results are new and enrich the bifurcation theory of fractional order delayed differential equations.

For any positive integers n= 2 k and m such that m≥ k, in this paper we show that the maximal number of bent components of any (n,m)-function is equal to 2 m- 2 m-k, and for those attaining the equality, their algebraic degree is at most k. It is easily seen that all (n,m)-functions of the form G(x) = (F(x) , 0) , with F(x) being any vectorial bent (n,k)-function, have the maximal number of bent components. Those simple functions G are called trivial in this paper. We show that for a power (n,n)-function, it has the maximal number of bent components if and only if it is trivial. We also consider the (n,n)-function of the form F(x)=xh(Tren(x)), where h:F2e→F2e, and show that F has the maximal number of bent components if and only if e= k, and h is a permutation over F2e. It essentially shows that all previously known nontrivial functions with maximal number of bent components are subclasses of the class described by F. Based on the Maiorana–McFarland class, we present constructions of large numbers of (n,m)-functions with maximal number of bent components for any integer m in bivariate representation. We also determine the differential spectra and Walsh spectra of the constructed functions. 摘要:
In this paper, we consider two classes of permutation trinomials with Niho-type exponents over the finite field F22m. Some sufficient conditions are obtained to characterize the coefficients of the permutation trinomials. Our numerical result suggests that those sufficient conditions for one class are also necessary. © 2020

Background: Disease gene prediction is a critical and challenging task. Many computational methods have been developed to predict disease genes, which can reduce the money and time used in the experimental validation. Since proteins (products of genes) usually work together to achieve a specific function, biomolecular networks, such as the protein-protein interaction (PPI) network and gene co-expression networks, are widely used to predict disease genes by analyzing the relationships between known disease genes and other genes in the networks. However, existing methods commonly use a universal static PPI network, which ignore the fact that PPIs are dynamic, and PPIs in various patients should also be different. Results: To address these issues, we develop an ensemble algorithm to predict disease genes from clinical sample-based networks (EdgCSN). The algorithm first constructs single sample-based networks for each case sample of the disease under study. Then, these single sample-based networks are merged to several fused networks based on the clustering results of the samples. After that, logistic models are trained with centrality features extracted from the fused networks, and an ensemble strategy is used to predict the finial probability of each gene being disease-associated. EdgCSN is evaluated on breast cancer (BC), thyroid cancer (TC) and Alzheimer's disease (AD) and obtains AUC values of 0.970, 0.971 and 0.966, respectively, which are much better than the competing algorithms. Subsequent de novo validations also demonstrate the ability of EdgCSN in predicting new disease genes. Conclusions: In this study, we propose EdgCSN, which is an ensemble learning algorithm for predicting disease genes with models trained by centrality features extracted from clinical sample-based networks. Results of the leave-one-out cross validation show that our EdgCSN performs much better than the competing algorithms in predicting BC-associated, TC-associated and AD-associated genes. de novo validations also show that EdgCSN is valuable for identifying new disease genes. © 2020 The Author(s).

摘要:
We study the existence of forced traveling waves and gap formations for the lattice Lotka–Volterra competition system in a shifting habitat. By virtue of upper–lower solution method, we establish that the system admits a forced wave provided that the shifting speed of climate change falls in a certain interval. When the shifting speed is outside the range (except for the two endpoints), gap formations are then shown by theoretical proofs. © 2020 Elsevier Ltd

摘要:
Coating of zirconium-based substrates is a promising method to obtain accident-tolerant fuel claddings for light water reactors. In this study, CrSi-based coatings with varying Si content were deposited by multi-arc ion plating, and the effect of Si content on the oxidation behavior of the coatings in air at various temperatures (maximum 1160 °C) was investigated. The solid solution phase, formed by Si in CrSi coating, was seen to improve the oxidation performance of Cr. The nanocomposite structure in CrSiN coating can further improve the oxidation and stability of CrN. The results indicated that Si in CrSi-based coatings plays an effective role in the oxidation resistance of Zircaloy at high temperatures. Thus, these coatings could be used as potential accident tolerant fuel cladding materials for light water reactor applications. © 2020 Elsevier Ltd and Techna Group S.r.l.

In this paper, a viscous, incompressible laminar fluid flow along a uniformly porous channel with expanding or contracting walls is considered. We present multiple symmetric steady-state solutions of this flow problem at several different expanding ratios, and use the linear stability theory to analyse the temporal stability for these solutions under symmetric, antisymmetric and general perturbations. We construct second order finite difference schemes for the eigenvalue problems with boundary conditions associated with those perturbations, and observe that most of these solutions which are stable under symmetric perturbations are unstable under antisymmetric perturbations. Furthermore, we verify the linear stability analysis results by directly solving the original perturbed nonlinear time dependent problem, and find that both stability results are consistent. © 2019 Elsevier Inc.
