According to the traditional tooth profile, modification process cannot meet the traction gear’s technical requirements of the high-speed locomotive. A new way for the tooth profile modification technology was provided in the paper. The slotting profile modification process was proposed, the formulating methods of the tooth profile modification K diagram was introduced, modification curve fit as the sections of involutes, the modification profile angles of slotting cutter corresponding sections of involutes was deduced using the profile angle error analysis theory and the tooth profile of modification slotting cutter precision was designed. The feasibility and advantages of modification slotting cutter were validated by examples, which indicates the widely use of this technology in high-speed locomotive traction gear.

Forestry industry is an important part of nation's economy. In this paper, a machine vision system is presented as a key module of Camellia oleifera pluck robot. In order to cut fruit image up from complicate background, SOFM neural network and gray thresh is used in image segmentation. In SOFM method, take R-B,G-R,G-B and hue H tunnel as input feature vectors, use self-organization network to clustering can get the best effect. in gray threshold method can take various of method to get the best threshold, such as PSO and GA algorithm, and MATLAB includes the toolboxes. At last use noise ratio, area ratio, divided time, Fourier boundary descriptors and other indicators to assess the accuracy of segmentation. The methods have the significance to the current and subsequent research of forestry pluck device.

The profile of cycloid-arc screw compressor rotors is not a smooth profile, and it has a tip on it. When designing the hob cutter is used for machining this kind of rotors, the profile of hob edge will appear separation. In this paper, the design theory of hob cutter for hobbing the no-symmetric cycloid-arc rotor with tip profile is researched, and the best way for design this kind of hob cutter with a separate edge is attained according to practical design, manufacture and test. Its results are shown that it is good practice to design the hob cutter and hob the cycloid-arc rotor. Thus, the machining method for hobbing screw compressor can enhance high productivity and machining accuracy.

Micro-plastic deformation is produced on the surface of the laser cladding layer by micro-forging, and crack makes a change in cladding layer. In this paper, a finite element model with a simplified panel strain model elastic-plastic of stress and strain relationship and adaptive meshing technique was used to simulate laser cladding layer crack by using DEFORM-2D software. Laser cladding process of cracks by micro-regulation forging is simulated. Comparing to the measurement of crack width, the results show that micro-forging can make the surface of laser cladding layer the residual tensile stress to adjust compressive stress, and the micro-forging can significantly reduce or eliminate the laser cladding layer crack. Reasonable and effective regulation of high-frequency micro-forging can improve the surface quality in micro-cladding layer.

In this paper a new control method has been studied in which PID control system was integrated into the neural network. It could overcome some disadvantages such as neural network’s slow rate of convergence and PID’s difficulty in application of multivariate nonlinear systems. A controller of the Electro-hydraulic proportional control stroking mechanism for radial piston pump was designed based on the PID neural network control algorithm. The system responses of system variable control signal of system track were achieved by computer simulation. It was found by PIDNN that the control system could reach steady state in a shorter time, compared with PID control system response time by 65% to 80%. The simulation results showed that the controller for the Electro-hydraulic proportional Radial Piston Pump based PID neural network control algorithm would have a good controlling performance.
