摘要：
Objective: Cathepsin B is a prominent lysosomal protease and is involved in apoptosis as well as degradation of myofibrillar proteins in myocardial infarction. The aim of this study was to investigate myocardial cathepsin B expression in failing and non-failing human hearts. Methods: Tissue samples were taken from transplanted left ventricles from 20 patients with dilated cardiomyopathy and 5 non-failing donor hearts that could not be transplanted for technical reasons. Myocardial cathepsin B expression was determined by immunohistochemistry, the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and Western blotting. Apoptosis was assessed by TUNEL staining. Results: Positive cathepsin B staining was found in failing and non-failing hearts. The expression of cathepsin B at mRNA and protein levels was significantly higher in failing hearts compared with non-failing hearts. Correlation analysis revealed that cathepsin B at mRNA and protein levels negatively correlated with EF (r = 0.66, p = 0.002 and r = 0.492, p = 0.028, respectively) in patients with heart failure. The apoptotic index was 0.015 ± 0.006 in failing hearts and 0.002 ± 0.001 in non-failing hearts (p < 0.01). Conclusion: Increased myocardial expression of cathepsin B was found in patients with heart failure suggesting that cathepsin B might play a role in the genesis and development of heart failure. © 2005 European Society of Cardiology.

摘要：
Some comparative theorems are given for the oscillation and asymptotic behavior for a class of high order delay parabolic differential equations of the form {A formula is presented} where n is an odd integer, Ω is a bounded domain in Rm with a smooth boundary ∂Ω , and Δ is the Laplacian operation with three boundary value conditions. Our results extend some of those of [P. Wang, Oscillatory criteria of nonlinear hyperbolic equations with continuous deviating arguments, Appl. Math. Comput. 106 (1999), 163-169] substantially. © 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

摘要：
Diallyl disulfide (DADS) is a major constituent of garlic. Previously, we found that DADS both inhibited proliferation in human gastric cancer cells in vitro and in vivo, and induced G2/M arrest. In this study, we investigated whether this differentiation effect was induced by DADS in human gastric cancer MGC803 cells, and whether it was related to an alteration in ERK activity. The results showed that the growth of MGC803 cells was inhibited by DADS. Cells treated with DADS displayed a lower nucleocytoplasmic ratio and tended to form gland and intercellular conjunction structures. The ConA-mediated cell agglutination ratio and cells’ ALP specific activity decreased. In MGC803 cells, dye transfer was limited to a few cells neighbouring the dye-injected cell and to a depth of 1–2 layers beneath the scrape site. However, after treatment with DADS, the LY (Lucifer Yellow) was transferred to several cells immediately neighbouring the microinjected cell and to a depth of 2–4 cell layers from the scrape site. This indicated that DADS induced differentiation in MGC803 cells. Western blot analysis revealed that although DADS did not influence the quantity of ERK1/2 protein expressed, it did decrease its phosphorylation in a concentration-dependent manner, compared with the controls. At 30 mg·L−1, DADS inhibited the activation of ERK1/2 in 15–30 min. These results suggested that the DADS-induced differentiation of MGC803 cells involved an alteration of the ERK1/2 signaling pathway.

In this paper, we investigate the symmetric function π n r (f) = π n r (f(x)) = (π 1≤i1<i2<. . .<ir≤n f(1/r ∑ j=1 r xij )) 1/(n/r) , where f(x) is a positive function on an interval I. Some analytic inequalities, including "Ky Fan" type inequalities, are established by use of the theory of majorization. An open problem is also solved partly. © ELEMENT.

1 引言
将酸碱指示剂置于滴定剂中进行滴定时,可通过吸收光谱同时监测溶液酸度和滴定剂加入量变化,据此将光度法与滴定分析相结合,并结合化学计量学,研究建立了计算光度滴定法同时测定混合弱酸中各组分的新方法.该方法只需要光谱信息就可得到分析结果,消除了电位滴定等方法中易产生误差的一些因素.方法简便、准确的特点,结果满意.

摘要：
Background: Liver targeting drug delivery systems can improve the curative effects and relieve the cytotoxicity of the chemotherapy drugs in the treatment of liver diseases. Nanoparticles carrying therapeutic drugs are currently under hot investigation with great clinical significance. This study was aimed to investigate the different tissue distribution of the adriamycin polybutylcyanoacrylate nanoparticle (ADM-PBCA-NP) in the mice body after an injection via lateral tail vein, and to study the liver targeting effects of ADM-PBCA-NP in different diameters on normal mice liver. Methods: One hundred and eighty Kunming mice were randomly divided into 6 groups with 30 mice in each group (5 treatment groups of ADM-PBCA-NP in the different diameter ranges, non-conjugated free adriamycin injection was employed as the control group). A single dose of either conjugated or free adriamycin equaled 2 mg/kg of body weight was delivered via the tail vein. Five mice in each trail were sacrificed at 5, 15, 30 minutes, 1, 5 and 12 hours postinjection, respectively. The adriamycin concentrations in the respectively collected liver, kidney, spleen, heart, lung and plasma were demonstrated using a high performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detector. Results: Compared with the control group, adriamycin was hardly detected in the heart muscle of the treatment groups (P<0.05). The nanoparticle-conjugated adriamycin was cleaned up quickly from the kidney tissue. The adriamycin concentrations of the mice liver and spleen in the experimental groups were significantly higher than that in the control group, except for the group with the nanoparticles diameters of (22.3 ± 6.2) nm (P<0.05). The ADM-PBCA-NP in (101.0 ± 20.3) nm diameter had the highest liver distribution, and the second highest adriamycin distribution in liver was the group of (143.0 ± 23.5) nm diameter (P<0.05). Moreover, adriamycin was released slowly in the liver during the detection period in the experimental groups. ADM-PBCA-NP in (22.3 ± 6.2) nm diameter was not distributed in the tissue of the liver, kidney, heart, spleen, and lung. Conclusions: ADM-PBCA-NP in 100-150 nm diameter range has the best liver targeting with a characteristic of slow medicine release. It also decreases the medicine distribution in the heart, kidney and lung. In the treatment of liver cancer, the polybutylcyanoacrylate nanoparticles system has a good liver targeting ability, which increases the anticancer activity and markedly decreases the toxicity of adriamycin.

摘要：
The viscoelastic behavior, such as end pressure losses, die swell, and normal stress difference, is a very important rheological phenomenon of viscoelastic fluids in channel flow. Therefore, understanding the elastic behavior and the mechanisms is quite necessary and meaningful for polymer rheology. Extrusion is a usual processing way in polymer industry. The viscoelastic behavior and the factors affecting it during die extrusion flow of polymeric melts are discussed, and the relationships among these viscoelastic properties, such as entry pressure drop (ΔP<inf>en</inf>), exit pressure drop (ΔP<inf>ex</inf>), die-swell ratio (B), and the first normal stress difference (N<inf>1</inf>), are analyzed in this article. The results showed that there are some simple and available expressions for describing the relationships among these viscoelastic property parameters and the values of these parameters can be evaluated. Furthermore, the recent progresses in the quantitative expressions for prediction of these viscoelastic property parameters and their correlations are briefly reviewed. 摘要：
Aim: To investigate the protective effect of high density lipoprotein 3 (HDL3) on oxidized low density lipoprotein (ox-LDL)-induced apoptosis in RAW264.7 cells. Methods: RAW264.7 cells were exposed to 50 mg/L ox-LDL for various durations up to 48 h, and apoptosis was detected using Hoechst 33258 staining and flow cytometric analysis. Total cholesterol levels were detected by high performance liquid chromatography, cholesterol efflux was determined by Tritium labeling, and the cellular lipid droplets were assayed by oil red O staining. Results: Treatment with 50 mg/L ox-LDL for 12, 24, and 48 h increased the apoptotic rate of RAW264. 7 cells in a time-dependent manner. The peak apoptotic rate (47.7%) was observed after 48 h incubation. HDL3 at various concentrations (50 mg/L, 100 mg/L, and 200 mg/L) inhibited the ox-LDL (50 mg/L for 48 h)-mediated apoptosis that was accompanied by an increased rate of intracellular cholesterol efflux, and decreased total cholesterol levels in cells in a concentration-dependent manner. Blockage of cholesterol efflux by brefeldin decreased the protective effect of HDL3 on ox-LDL-induced apoptosis. Increase of the cholesterol efflux effected by another cholesterol acceptor, β-cyclodextrin, led to a dramatic decrease in the apoptotic rate of cells. Conclusion: HDL3 antagonizes ox-LDL-induced apoptosis in RAW264.7 cells, through reducing the accumulation of toxic cholesterol. ©2006 CPS and SIMM.

摘要：
By introducing a new norm which is equivalent to the usual norm in the phase space, we prove that for n-dimensional second order dissipative lattices of coupled oscillators with external periodic forces under Dirichlet, Neumann and periodic boundary conditions, if the system is bounded dissipative and the coupled coefficients are both large enough, the asymptotic synchronization will occur. And we give a concrete bounded dissipative second order lattices system. Our results show that the bounds of the difference between the components of any solution are directly proportional to mn/2 and inversely proportional to the coupled coefficients, where m is the mesh size and n is the space dimension of lattice points.

In this paper, based upon Fanger's thermal comfort concept, several concepts, which utilize computing results obtained from the large eddy simulation (LES), are put forward, such as thermal comfort index based on time-averaged parameters, instantaneous thermal index, time-averaged thermal comfort index and time-averaged thermal comfort index along walking routes. Also their discrepancies and calculation methods are discussed in the paper. Apart from these, we have calculated PD value as an example, whose results indicate that the distributions of four indices are obviously different. Therefore, it is suggested to distinguish different cases and select correspondingly thermal comfort evaluation indices while considering the question of thermal comfort. © 2005 Elsevier Ltd.
