摘要：
Cancer is a disease characterized by abnormal division of cells combined with the malignant behaviour of these cells. Malignant cancer cells tend to spread, either by direct growth into adjacent tissue through invasion and dispersal or by implantation into distant sites by metastasis. In this paper, we will concentrate on the first type of tumour growth and consider a reaction-diffusion model for competition cells with nonlinear diffusion term modelling contact inhibition between normal and tumour cell populations for which wave propagation is usually observed in clinical data. Mathematically, based on a combination of perturbation methods, the Fredholm theory and the Banach fixed point theorem, we theoretically justify the existence of the travelling wave solution. Numerical simulations are finally illustrated to confirm our rigorous results. ©2008 The Royal Society.

摘要：
In this note we consider the following high-order rational difference equation xn = 1 + frac(underover(∏, i = 1, k) (1 - xn - i), underover(∑, i = 1, k) xn - i), n = 0, 1, ..., where k ≥ 3 is odd number, x- k, x- k + 1, x- k + 2, ..., x- 1 is positive numbers. We obtain the boundedness of positive solutions for the above equation, and with the perturbation of initial values, we mainly use the transformation method to prove that the positive equilibrium point of this equation is globally asymptotically stable. © 2008 Elsevier Ltd. 摘要：
Analysed is a mathematical model for HIV-1 infection with two delays accounting, respectively, for (i) a latent period between the time target cells are contacted by the virus particles and the time the virions enter the cells and (ii) a virus production period for new virions to be produced within and released from the infected cells. For this model, the basic reproduction number R0 is identified and its threshold property is discussed: the uninfected steady state is proved to be globally asymptotically stable if R0 < 1 and unstable if R0 > 1. In the latter case, an infected steady state occurs and is proved to be locally asymptotically stable. The formula for R0 shows that increasing either of the two delays will decrease R0. This may suggest a new direction for new drugs that can prolong the latent period and/or slow down the virus production process. © The author 2008. 摘要：
Flow-induced vibration and stabilities of the parallel-plate assemblies are studied theoretically. A model of multi-parallel-beams joined with single-beam is adopted in the theoretical analysis of the natural vibration characteristics of the parallel-plate assemblies. The functions of the dry-modal mode are used as trial functions to solve the equations of the complex-modal mode by the variational method for the natural frequencies and modes of the wet modal. The critical flow velocity and destabilizing deflection are solved by the direct method and the variational method for the stability of the parallel-plate assemblies and the results of the two methods agree with each other. This paper discovers some systemic results from theoretical and numerical analysis, which offers several useful methods and data to the design and safe operation for the fuel element of nuclear reactors. ©2008 Elsevier B.V. 摘要：
The spatial-temporal bifurcation for Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (KP) equations is considered. Exact two-soliton solution and doubly periodic solution to the KP-I equation, and two classes of periodic soliton solutions in different directions to KP-II are obtained using the bilinear form, homoclinic test technique and temporal and spatial transformation method, respectively. The equilibrium solution u0 ≤ -(1/6), a unique spatial-temporal bifurcation which is periodic bifurcation for KP-I and deflexion of soliton for KP-II, is investigated. © 2007 Chinese Physical Society and IOP Publishing Ltd.

摘要：
In this letter, a predator-prey system of two-prey one-predator discrete model is investigated. It is proved that the system is permanence under some appropriate conditions. By Jacobian matrix method, a sufficient and necessary condition is derived for the local asymptotic stability of a equilibrium of the system. In this paper, we investigate the first-order neutral differential equation of Euler form with variable unbounded delay (*)frac(d, d t) fenced(x (t) - cx (αt)) + frac(1, t) underover(∑, i = 1, n) p<inf>i</inf> x (β<inf>i</inf> t) = 0, t ≥t<inf>0</inf> >0,where 0 &le c <1, 0 <α<1, 0 <β<inf>i</inf> <1 and p<inf>i</inf> >0 are constants, i = 1, 2, ..., n . Some necessary and sufficient as well as explicit sufficient conditions for the oscillation of all solutions are established. 摘要：
In this paper, we propose a discrete multispecies general Gilpin-Ayala competition predator-prey model. By using new difference inequality and developing the analysis technique of Chen and Zhou [Y. Chen, Z. Zhou, Stable periodic solution of a discrete periodic Lotka-Volterra competition system, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 277 (2003) 358-366], sufficient conditions are established for the permanence and the global stability. An example shows the feasibility of our results. © 2007 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

摘要：
The process of heat conduction in one-dimensional dimerized systems is studied by means of numerical simulation. Taking into account the difference between the strong bond and the weak one of the systems, our calculation indicates that heat conduction in the lattice is anomalous. For the typical parameter related to a real physical system, the divergent exponent is shown to be in agreement with that predicted by the mode-coupling theory. Moreover, our study shows that the homogeneous chain is the best thermal conductor. © 2007 Chinese Physical Society and IOP Publishing Ltd.

摘要：
In this paper, we consider a tri-neuron network model with discrete and distributed delays. After discussing the distributions of the roots of the characteristic equation local stability analysis of the steady-state solution leads to, we analyze the stability of network models with instantaneous feedback and neural interaction history, delayed neural feedback and no neural interaction history and delayed neural feedback and neural interaction history; we give sufficient conditions for the linear stability of the equilibrium solution; we also show that a Hopf bifurcation can occur when the delays take certain critical values; and we further prove that there is a positive integer K such that there are K switches from stability to instability and back to stability. Numerical simulations are finally performed to illustrate the obtained results. © 2006 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

We show the existence of a nontrivial homoclinic orbit and subharmonic solutions for a class of second order difference equations by applying the “Mountain Pass” theorem relying on Ekeland’s variational principle and the diagonal method, and the homoclinic orbit as the limit of the subharmonics. A completely new way is provided for dealing with the existence of solutions for difference equations.

摘要：
This paper is devoted to introduce a new approach to investigate the existence of periodic solutions for nonlinear difference equations. Transforming a second-order nonlinear difference equation on a finite discrete segment with periodic boundary conditions into a continuous system, we obtain the existence conditions of periodic solutions of the equation. The proof relies on coincidence degree theory and matrix theory without using Green's function. © 2006 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

摘要：
结合形变原理及网格迭代思想，利用方向导数计算控制函数，提出一种新的二维空间自适应网格生成算法。数值实验表明，该算法能较好地适应解函数的空间剧烈变化。与其他自适应算法比较，其主要优点是该算法逻辑简单，避免了解网格偏微分方程，节约了网格计算时间。

摘要：
In this letter, we first propose a discrete analogue of a continuous time predator-prey system, which models the dynamics of two predators on one prey [I. Loladze, Y. Kuang, J. Elser, W.F. Fagan, Competition and stoichiometry: Coexistence of two predators on one prey, Theor. Popul. Biol. 65 (2004) 1-15]. Then, we study the dynamics of this discrete model. We establish results on boundedness and global attractivity. Finally, several numerical simulations are given to support the theoretical results. © 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
