Although diabetes mellitus (DM) is considered an important prognostic factor for hysterectomy outcomes, the relationship between DM and postoperative complications remains unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate whether DM is associated with an increased risk of complications following hysterectomy. We systematically searched PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Library for relevant articles published on or before March 15, 2024.
