The bioleaching performance in column reactors from a refractory uranium ore by Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans (A. ferrooxidans), Acidithiobacillus thiooxidans (A. thiooxidans) and Leptospirillum ferriphilum (L. ferriphilum) consortium at different depth was assessed. It showed an obvious depth-induced deviation for uranium bioleaching in the column reactors. At the 0–63 cm depth in a 100 cm column reactor, the uranium leaching concentration and peak uranium concentrations were significantly and positively correlated with depth, and conversely...
