王船山继承了张载的"绝学",发展了先秦儒家所忽略的生死观。王船山否定长生久视,倡导载义之生、尽性而死、追求高尚人格的生命观,这一观点融化在他的诗作之中,是其诗歌的一个十分重要的主题,这一主题的发现对推进船山学的研究有其重要意义。

Wangchuanshan inherited Zhangzai＇ s miraculous learning and developed the ideas of life and death ignored by Confuclans in Pre - Qin dynasty. Wangchuanshan denied immortality and advocated the view of life and death that life must be meaningful and one would die at his best in order to pursue lofty personality.
