党群关系是当今中国社会至关重要的一组关系。人民群众是中国共产党的一个重要执政基础,与人民群众保持密切的联系,是中国共产党永恒的课题;教育、引导人民群众进步是中国共产党义不容辞的责任。党群关系状况令人关注,有关这方面的研究成果也层出不穷。然而,在深入进行党群关系理论研究之前,有必要澄清几个基础性的问题,比如党群关系的由来;党群关系的基本内涵;党群关系的根本性质;党群关系理论研究的渊源;关于“新时期”这一名词的内涵的界定。
