Purpose To study the antioxidant mechanism of chitooligosaccharides-selenium (COS-Se). Methods THP-l-derived maerophages were cultured and treated with COS-Se (100 μg/mL) for 6, 12, 24 and 48 h respectively. Then SOD, GSH-Px mRNA expression was determined by semi-quantity RT-PCR. Restilts Compared with control, COS-Se significantly increased expression of SOD mRNA after 24 h and 48 h and GSH-Px mRNA expression after 6, 12, 24 and 48 h.
