Radioactive corrosion products, specifically 58 Co and 60 Co, accumulate on the surface of components in pressurized water reactors (PWRs), posing significant challenges to nuclear plant safety. In this study, the microstructure and chemical composition of the surface layer of 304 stainless steel (304SS) exposed to cobalt-containing boron/lithium water at a high temperature of 573 K for 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 days were investigated.
