Dexin Ding received BE and ME degrees from Central South University, Changsha, China, and Ph.D. degree from Tongji University, Shanghai, China. He is a professor at the School of Environmental Protection and Safety Engineering in University of South China, Hengyang, China. His research interests include uranium mining, radiation protection and environmental protection in uranium mines and wireless sensor networks based environmental monitoring. Laurence T. Yang received the B.E. degree in Computer Science and Technology from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Victoria, Victoria, BC, Canada. He is a professor with the School of Computer Science and Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, and with the Department of Computer Science, St. Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, NS, Canada. His research interests include parallel and distributed computing, embedded and ubiquitous/pervasive computing, and big data. His research has been supported by the National Sciences and Engineering Research Council, Canada, and the Canada Foundation for Innovation.
