Problems involving heat and moisture transfer in porous building envelope arise in a number of engineering interests, such as cooling/heating load calculating of air conditioning, indoor environment controlling, managing of thermal performance of the envelope and so on. This paper is mainly about the significant efforts that have been made to mathematically model the coupled flow of heat and mass that occur in the porous building envelope.
