Objective] To study the effect of chitosan on normal intestinal microflora of mouse.[Methods] Twenty mice were randomly divided into an observed group and a controlled group. The observed mice were administered(ig) chitosan at a dose of 400 mg/kg·d for seven days. The controlled mice were received the same volume of 0 5% glacial acetic acid for seven days. The levels of intestinal microflora were measured.[Result] The amounts of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus obviously increased as compared with those of the controlled group (P
