The adsorption performance of U (VI) over ZnO nanostructures with different fraction of polar facets was comparatively evaluated. Results indicate that the uniform flower - like ZnO dominated with { 001 } facets gives the maximum uranium adsorption capacity up to 2439 mg· g^-1 ,two times as much as the adsorption capacity of ZnO hexagonal rods with few { 001} facets.
