The contamination of soils with heavy metals has become a major environmental concern. Extractive-decontamination of the toxic metals (Pb, Cd and Cu) from the contaminated soil using N(2)EDTA and STPP was evaluated by batch extraction. The influences of mixed liquid concentrations, oscillating time, pH of solutions on leaching efficiency were investigated. Pb, Cd and Cu fractions characteristics were compared before and after leaching to reveal the leaching of them. The extraction efficiencies increased in the order of Pb > Cd > Cu for Na(2)EDTA, and Cd > Pb > Cu for STPP. Na2EDTA and STPP can...
