BACKGROUND: There is limited data on the clinical significance of metabolic hyperferritinemia (MHF) based on the most recent consensus. We aimed to validate the clinical outcomes of MHF in general population and biopsy-proven metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) patients.
