This paper reviews the progress of thermoelectric (TE) air conditioning in the past 40 years, especially the advancement in the past 10 years. It is still difficult to popularize large scale TE building air-conditionings; while small ones, applied in some special situations, present some distinct advantages in comparison with other air-conditioners.
