Bis (diphenyl phosphate) imine (Htpop) was synthesized using a simple one‐step solvent method to remove thorium (IV) from aqueous solutions. The structure, functional group displacement, morphological differences, and elemental composition of the samples were analyzed using characterization techniques such as NMR, FTIR, SEM, EDS, and XPS. According to the batch experiment, when pH=4.0 and temperature was 298 K, the adsorption equilibrium can be reached within 40 min, and the adsorption capacity was 189.32 mg ⋅ g−1.
