Chemotherapy is one of the most common treatments used for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), which effectively improves outcome and reduces tumor recurrence. However, the drug resistance mechanisms involved in chemotherapy, which is the predominant challenge in HCC treatment, remain to be fully elucidated.
