Reflood plays an important role in preventing the serious accident process. In this paper, the reflood oxidation performances of Cr-coated Zr-Sn-Nb alloy cladding tubes at 1000 °C, 1100 °C and 1200 °C were studied by high-temperature steam oxidation followed by in-situ water quenching. The oxidation kinetics, macroscopic morphology, phase transformation and microstructural evolution were investigated. Cr coating can provide excellent anti-reflood oxidation protection for Zr-Sn-Nb alloy, resulting in an oxidation rate constant of only 1/4–1/...
