毽球运动是中华民族传统体育文化的重要组成部分,全球化浪潮下在国内和世界范围内不断得以传播和普及推广。本文从毽球两大发展脉络——夯实全民健身基础、寻求竞技毽球可持续发展的路径入手,厘清中国毽球运动的发展态势及现实困境,并尝试提出建议为其现代化发展提供指引。研究认为,社会转型期毽球竞赛体系的成熟进程受阻,项目发展相关政策缺乏保证阻碍了后备人才的储备,竞技水平尚未实现新的突破,传统的"踢毽子"印象限制了商业化开发等束缚了其现代化前进步伐;中国毽球运动现代化发展策略应在国家宏观政策给予关照,各级毽球协会与各界社会力量协同努力下,助推竞技毽球与群众毽球的协调发展。
