Inflammation is a common feature of many inflammatory diseases and tumors, and plays a decisive role in their development. Exosomes are extracellular vesicles unleashed by assorted types of cells, and it is widely known that exosomes of different immune cell sources play different functions. Exosome production has recently been reported for immune cells comprising macrophages, T cells, B cells, and dendritic cells (DCs).
