实现WebGIS技术的主流方法之一是采用J2EE技术,开源的GeoServer搭建的GIS平台满足J2EE规范,该平台具有成本低廉、良好的扩展性和部署的灵活性等特点.但在面对庞大地图数据、庞大的用户交互时,如果仅仅采用GeoServer 作为GIS服务器,势必导致地图数据传输缓慢甚至获取服务出错,本文描述了地图缓存技术在GeoServer中的应用,包括瓦片金字塔的创建、内部原理、发布等关键技术.

WebGIS technology can be achieved by J2EE technology. Open source GeoServer was built to meet the J2EE specification GIS platform which has a low-cost, good scalability and deployment flexibility and so on. But while facing a huge map data, if GeoServer was taken as the only Geo Server, it inevitably causes the slow map data transmission rate, even map service data transmission error.
