The behavior of soil-structure interface is very important for the whole response of a soil-structure system. In this paper, long-term shear tests of soil-structure interface were carried out, and it is found that the relative displacement of soil-structure interface presents obvious time effect. So the soil-structure interface model requires considering time effect. The interface uses the Goodman contact element.
