Molten salt reactor (MSR) has good economic potential, inherent safety and nonproliferation characteristics. In this paper, the 450 MWth graphite molten salt reactor is taken as the research object. First, the neutronic design of a 450 MWth graphite molten salt reactor is introduced in terms of the core material, conceptual design, static physical characteristics and core design parameters.
