Tripterygium wilfordii Hook F (TwHF) has a long history of use as a traditional Chinese medicine and has been widely administered to treat various inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are endogenous, short, non-coding RNAs that regulate gene expression post-transcriptionally. They participate in the efficacies and even toxicities of the components of TwHF, rendering miRNAs an appealing therapeutic strategy.
