This paper presents the results of a study on the laser remelting and laser transformation hardening of mandrel H13 steel (quenched and tempered) for a tube rolling mill. The surface of the specimens was irradiated with a continuous high-power fibre laser (RFL-C3300) with a spot size of 12 mm  × 2 mm.
