The coating of mesoporous silica nanoshells can improve the stability of gold nanorods while improving the corresponding drug‐carrying capacity. Mesoporous silica coated gold nanorod (GNR@MSN) provides the opportunity to integrate different treatments into a single nanoplatform combining cancer treatment with real‐time diagnosis.
