毛泽东诗词内涵丰富,形式精美,已被翻译成30多个英文版本和20多个其它语种版本,传播到了世界各地。在对毛泽东诗词的主要英译本和其它语种版本进行概括性梳理的基础上,分析了毛泽东诗词在对外传播中所实现的文化价值,包括毛泽东诗词特有的艺术魅力、弘扬中国传统文化（如天地观、典故、数字文化、地域文化等）以及对毛泽东的个人形象起到良好的塑造作用等。毛泽东诗词在对外传播的过程中把中国优秀的文化传播到世界各地,既提升了中国文化软实力,也使其在世界文化史上大放异彩。
