Ytterbium modified TiO2 nanoparticles (Yb@TiO2), synthesized by a sol-gel process, were employed as an efficient adsorbent and matrix for the analysis of Perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and Tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA) via surface-enhanced laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (SELDI-TOF MS).
