Versatile Video Coding (VVC), which mainly introduces the QTMT partition structure and introduces new technologies in inter coding and intra coding, greatly improves the coding efficiency compared with the previous generation video coding standard. However, the improvement in coding efficiency comes at the cost of a huge increase in coding complexity.
