APC gene mutations are associated with the development of many types of cancers and also related to cancers' sensitivities to selected drugs. Genetic testing of APC mutation using cancer tissues have been well developed, but assays targeting circulating tumor DNA of APC gene mutations are to be developed in order to meet the requirements by clinical application. This study tested the possibilities of applying restriction enzyme digestion combined with blue/white screening technology in analyzing a hotpot point mutation in APC gene.
