The working principle and procedure of air powered engine are analyzed. Aiming at the influence of air inlet and air displacement on the engine speed, the way of directly driving intake and exhaust valves is used to control the gas amount in the working cylinder, and a new speed control strategy is proposed to realize the engine's speed control.
