Biliary atresia is a common cause of neonatal obstructive jaundice, which can rapidly develop into biliary cirrhosis and even death. The degree of hepatic fibrosis in biliary atresia is closely related to Kasai preoperative assessment, follow-up and the time points of liver transplantation. Ultrasound elastography is one of the promising technologies for noninvasively assessment the degree of liver fibrosis.
