Based on meso-scale mechanics for concrete, the rock-fill concrete (RFC) is regarded as a type of three-component composite material composed of self-compacted concrete, rock and interfaces. A meso-scale simulation model for studying the mechanical properties of RFC is established. Experimental tests for determining the basic mechanical parameters and constitutive relations of the three components are designed and carried out. A set of four-point flexural beam tests for verifying the validity of the simulation model is conducted. The comparison of simulation result with experimental data indic...
