The possibility of coal gangue powder substituting fly ash as a novel cementitious material is studied in the paper.Through detailed experiments and analysis,the workability,time-dependent loss,and mechanical properties of coal gangue powder concrete at different substitution rates are investigated.Results indicate that coal gangue powder can substitute fly ash to a certain extent,and at high substitution rates,its compressive strength is even superior to that of fly ash.However,the splitting tensile strength and the ratio of tensile to compressive strength of coal gangue powder concrete are l...
