This research seeks to thoroughly examine the present state and research hotspots in Mendelian randomization (MR) in osteoporosis (OP)-related fields, providing a reference for future research directions in this area. Following an exhaustive search of the Web of Science Core Collection database, our analysis utilized citation statistics for osteoporosis studies conducted from January 1, 2007, through March 15, 2024.
