Objective\ To understand the histogenesis of epithelium of esophagus in human fetuses. Metheds\ Observing by light microscope (LM) and scanning electron microscope (SEM).Results\ At 7 week(the 55th day)embryo, the epithelium of esophagus was stratified columnar in type of 2 3 layer of cells. On the surface of epithelium scanty microvilli and a few cilia could be found. The epithelium of esophagus became 3 6 layers of cells from 12 to 17 week old human fetus.
