AIM: A randomised controlled trial (RCT) was implemented to verify the feasibility and acceptability of cognitive education in the format of mind maps for increasing perceived control and decreasing the symptom distress of lung cancer patients who were receiving chemotherapy. METHODS: A total of 136 lung cancer patients who were receiving chemotherapy were randomised using stratified blocks (1:1 ratio, from March 2016 to April 2017).
