Associated with reduced hydrogen sulfide (H2S) production in Hcy metabolic disorders, Plasma Hcy accumulation can bring about vascular dysfunction. Nevertheless, recently proposed therapies for vascular damage by estrogen could contribute to promoting endogenous hydrogen sulfide production.
