The expression for the perpendicular saturation temperature of ions heated by a low-frequency shear Alfvén wave due to nonresonant interaction in low-β plasmas has been derived. This expression is closely related to the frequency, polarization, and amplitude of the low-frequency shear Alfvén wave. The derived expression has been verified by performing simulations.
