The dependence of the wave packet process of NaI molecule on pulse width was studied via the time-dependent wave packet approach. It is found that with the increase of pulse width,the oscillation period of wave packet increases,while oscillation amplitude decreases. The wave packet bifurcation induced by the nonadiabatic effect in the crossing region affects state populations.
