To investigate the propagation rule of explosion stress wave in rock mass, based on the similarity theory, the experiments were carried out to study the attenuation of explosive stress wave in the bedding joint rock mass. The results showed that the propagation of joint block stress wave exists anisotropy. For the stress wave of vertical or small angle incidence joint, the attenuation in vertical direction and longitudinal direction are obvious, with a larger range, while the attenuation in transverse direction is not obvious.
