Two kinds of 304 stainless steel powder (one of them added C-H compound) were coated on the substrate by laser direct prototyping technology. Part of the formed area was treated with high frequency micro-forging, and the formed layers were cutted from the substrate. Subsequently, the mechanical property, internal defect and microstructure of the layers were studied.
