The influence of annealing temperature on damping capacities of Mg-0.6Zr alloy was investigated by using optical microscope, hardness test and dynamic mechanical analysis. The results show that after annealing for 1 h the hardness of the hot rolled Mg-0.6Zr alloy decreases, but the damping capacity increases. The damping capacity increases with the increasing of annealing temperature at the range of 250-350°C, however, the amplification of damping capacity decreases while the annealing temperature is over 350°C.
