Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of mortality worldwide. According to the WHO;about 17.9 million people die each year because of CVD. Atherosclerosis (As) is one of the pathogenic factors of CVD.1;3 High-density lipoprotein (HDL) is an indicator negatively associated with CVD;and it is an important component involved in the reverse transport of cholesterol.4;6 In Tangier patients;reduced HDL levels are associated with mutations in the ATP-binding cassette protein A1 (ABCA1) gene.7;9 ABCA1 is highly expressed in hepatocytes;macrophages;and smooth muscle cells. It is a membrane protein that transports cholesterol and mediates the efflux of intracellular cholesterol;reducing excess cholesterol in peripheral tissues and liver.10;13 In our previous study on ABCA1;it was found that ABCA1 not only has the function of regulating cholesterol efflux;but also can inhibit inflammation;and inflammatory factors also have an inhibitory effect on ABCA1.14;16 ABCA1 reduces inflammatory responses by removing ROS and inhibits the secretion of cytokines IL-1β and TNF-α;and the NF-κB signaling pathway.17;20 It plays an important role in preventing the occurrence and development of As. Surprisingly;ABCA1 is a new potential target for cancer treatment that has emerged in recent years. Over the past 2 decades;nearly 5275 articles have been published on the topic of ABCA1;which can be retrieved on the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC). More than 1000 journals have published articles;conference reports;reviews;letters;books;and online publications. Since books;reports;and other articles are summaries of others or their experimental results;the WoS condition is set to eliminate such articles. After selecting articles;reviews;letters;and online articles;the number of articles is reduced to 4353. It is a time-consuming and difficult task that read and extract the content and emphasis of so many articles. And it is not an easy task to summarize the hot spots and focuses of ABCA1 research. CiteSpace makes up for the lack of individual subjective judgment on keywords and article selection. Compared with personal experience and memory;the app can completely screen and record downloaded documents;and display the development history;hot spots;and trends of related research fields. The CiteSpace (6.2.R3) is used to display the bibliographic catalogs of ABCA1 in this article. There are four objects in this paper;(1) summarizing the history of ABCA1 research;(2) highlighting the literature with important contributions in the field of ABCA1 research;(3) highlighting the hot spots of ABCA1-related research;(4) revealing the new hot spots of future research.

摘要:
ATP-binding cassette protein A1 (ABCA1) is a key protein in the transport of intracellular cholesterol to the extracellular and plays an important role in reducing cholesterol accumulation in surrounding tissues. Bibliometric analysis refers to the cross-science of quantitative analysis of a variety of documents by mathematical and statistical methods. It combines an analysis of structural and temporal patterns in scholarly publications with a description of topic concentration and types of uncertainty. This paper analyzes the history, hotspot, and development trend of ABCA1 through bibliometr...
